i got a rechargeable battery pack for the controller that came with the system, I can just leave it plugged in to the xbox one if i want and not have to worry about the battery draining when im race long sessions
The cheapest and easiest way to go is to use a USB cable (standard “Type A” connection at one end and a “Micro B” on the other). You can buy these all over the place because they’re used for many kinds of devices (phones being a common application).
There’s a Type A USB port on the left side of the console near the front (it’s right around the corner from the disc slot), and there’s a Micro B port on the controller (it’s the tiny, tiny port that sits between the Left and Right shoulder buttons).
It sounds complicated, but it’s not.
I don’t like using wireless controllers, so I just went to my Drawer of Random Cables, grabbed what I needed, and haven’t had to worry about batteries or interference since…
