Some special weather, such as rainstorm or sandstorm is rarely seen in horizon open
I haven’t seen any special weather in horizon open ,which seems to reduce the variety of online races and car choices
I’ve never seen it in single player free roam either
Rainstorm will be on the eastern coast, and sandstorm will be in the desert to the west. Rainstorm is in stormy season (fall) and sandstorm is in hot season (spring).
a rainstorm during a sandstorm ? the sand would be wet and wouldnt be blown about as easily ?
Honestly, the only time I see ‘dramatic weather effects’ is never, ever in free-roam but when I go to do a weekly challenge race in a specific season suddenly I’m racing in a hurricane or sandstorm or what have you.
I realize Mexico isn’t going to have snow drifts piling up, but it would be nice to see some of that ‘dramatic’ weather in free roam and not just the casual sprinkling of rain or…nothing. There may be technical hurdles in implementing that across the different cross-play platforms, I’m sure plenty are playing on original Xbox systems and there could be framerate impacts there.
This here right there
I have seen sandstorms quite regularly in Live freeroam, less often when I was doing more Solo freeroam. And lots of thunder and lightning but not with rain that I recall, and not as often as sandstorms. I expect each is in their proper season. There might have been a snowstorm on the mountain in winter, kind of recall it, but I’m not often up there any time of the year to say how regular it is.
It happens ONLY in very specific locations, and not always… so the probabilities are pretty thin. So far i experimented a sand storm, and a regular storm. Thats it. True that the way the weather is designed and keeping in mind how boring is the map, we need more brutal weather to at least have another motivation to drive to specific places.
