Some negative points on FH3

I don’t know if there is a specific thread for complaints about the game.

I have the game for two weeks now and these are some things that frustrate and for which I hope to see fixed in an update or the next Forza Horizon.

Whenever choosing or changing a car, you get a cutscene from the car on 3 different angles reving the engine + an additional image of the car rolling out the showroom. This gets the flow out of the game, you lose 10 seconds just watching an animation you have watched dozens of time. The same for restarting an event. It restarts, you have to choose to start the race again, shows you 2 cutscenes and then you can finally start. Why not restarting the event and it puts you direct at the start line ready to go?

Whenever you can do a new showcase event or a festival upgrade, you have to do them first before you can do other races or stunts. Let me do them whenever I want. Games these days push you too much in what the makers want you do to do.

The ability to turn off traffic. I hate the drift zones, but I hate it even more that I have events where I don’t have 3 stars. So I keep on doing them until I finally get them right. And you know when you’re going to make it, until at the last turn you have a normal car or one of those avatars completely ruining the run. I know this adds to the difficulty of the game, but there was this one drift zone on which I spent over an hour (yes I’m that bad at it), just because there was always something going wrong. And yes at night there is less traffic, but I don’t need to wait for that…

Skill songs. I mean why? Don’t get me wrong, the point system is nice, it gives you some motivation on doing that drift or doing those near misses. But why that one songs makes you double it, beats me. Yes it gives you more xp points. But I find it’s just a weird addition to the game.

Drone mode. It’s a nice tool for barn finds. But you can’t overfly your festival or even go higher then 5 feet? Ok I don’t see the point of overflying your festival, but the game looks really good, so let us just enjoy and don’t limit us this much.

I truly enjoy this game don’t get me wrong, but these are things that bring the overall feel of the game down. I hope the developers read this and take it into account.

Those animations mask loading screens. You would have the choice to either watch a black screen with a loading bar or the animations.

Create your own blueprint event, drift, thirty minutes, no traffic.

You can in Hot Wheels.

Nah don’t think so, there are instances where it is instantly I just noticed. I don’t know what triggers it to be more instant then the others.

I bought the game for its content. I’m not making my own game. Btw it’s like I said, I hate uncompleted events on my map. I just feel they should give you the possibility as some events are too difficult for casual players.

You can in Hot Wheels.

I’m not gonna buy a DLC just for that… What’s the point in that, it should have been in the base game standard. If they can in Hot Wheels, they can make the update to the base game as well. Talking about DLC is a completely different topic.

The game has been out for nearly a year; your opinions are neither new nor relevant.

Games these days push you too much in what the makers want you do to do.

Wut? Why did you buy the game? You say you bought it for content when asked about Blueprints, but you grumble about that content’s progression?

Cut scenes take you out of the game but turning off traffic in an open road game wouldn’t?

To avoid drivatards on the drift zones just go into private freeroam
Has been said 100s of times before
You still get the occassional traffic cars but no drivatards which are the ones causing the biggest issues

Had the game only 2 weeks but feels the need for it to change for your own enjoyment
Geez there’s a few of people on here with that issue
The game is not just made for you

Show some respect.

Yes, he is bringing up trivial features.
Yes, his tone comes across as demanding in places.
Yes, his grammar needs a bit of work.

But like many players there are a few things that he has brought up that make the game a less than 100% perfect experience for him and by bringing these up he is still giving feedback on the game.

Try to understand where he is coming from, explain why said features may exist and educate rather than intimidate. Your response is a perfectly good reason for people to not want to post on this forum, and in my opinion does more damage to the community’s reputation than his post ever could.

Is this game perfect? Of course not, you have millions of players with millions of opinions of what should be included and what should be left out. There never will be a perfect game. You must take the game as it is made, it sounds like you have buyers remorse, you bought a game don’t like it and now are looking for an acknowledgement that others don’t like it also. Here is my bottom line to you: if you don’t like the game don’t play the game. That simple. Some of us like this game and play it every day, I myself have come on here with recommendations to make the game better but not to outright blast it. If you don’t like it once again delete it and don’t play it.

You mean I do not have the right to come on this forum and through hissy fits because the game is not what I wanted? And then to keep coming on said forum demanding that my pet peeve be added immediately of the Forza World will all come crashing down around Turn 10’s head? Or call the developers Lazy and Stupid because their vision for THEIR game is not mine? Wow, what is the world coming to? [/sac]

Don’t let the little things get in the way of the big picture, FH3 is an amazing game. I could sit here and write a 20 page essay on what I think is wrong with this game, it has its faults don’t get me wrong but the good far outweighs the bad. Of course there are things that I think the devs did not think of or could not have foreseen…or they just said we don’t care (take your pick) but it doesn’t get in the way of enjoying this amazing game

This would be great if it was in the game natively. Definitely at the top of my wishlist. You can do it yourself if you want but it’s a bit annoying.

It always amazes me that when you hit on something that someone really likes, they get all offended. I clearly stated I like this game, it simply is not perfect as all things in this world are.

The negative points I mention are things that the developers can take into account for a possible FH4, this is just feedback and if many people have the same issues they’ll definitely take it into consideration.

One more thing I didn’t mention is that the world is too small. It must be at least like Test Drive Unlimited, I loved discovering every single road and just driving around the island. The Goliath Circuit in FH3 is over too fast (and doing multiple laps is not the solution).

I did think the world in FH3 is somewhat small, which makes me think the older FH games are starved of land, on the other hand its variety is superior to that of TDU and you’re also encouraged to drive offroad because you have SUVs, buggies, monster trucks and whatnot, whereas TDU1 was only tarmac stuff.

The physics engine of FH3 is also much superior to the one used in either TDU game.

I completely agree. If they could mix TDU with FH, it would be amazing.

I just read that there are some rumours about TDU3, lets hope.

Cut scenes only happen when you select a “new” car from you garage right? I doubt it’s to cover any kind of loading screen, more likely just for “effect”. Is rather annoying, I have timed to where I can do jazz hands right at the moment it pops up…

I’ve taken it upon myself to combat that, put your favorite car in the #1 spot for each class. So when the screen does finally load, just hit A and you’ll have your favorite car. My top 3 cars for each class are the 1st three I can choose

Say what you want about driveatars and other issues…

But i just can’t understand how they could have missed a option to silence Emma? Had they not playtested the game at all? :stuck_out_tongue:
