What kind of gameplay testing is supposed to happen when you havent found out that this track is IMPOSSIBLE to beat and this is one of seasonal champpionship tracks. I have tried now many different cars and various tunes setups and no way to beat all opponents… game is made WAY TOO HARD on this track. AI just keep going and no way to catch them… and difficulty levels is just HIGHLY SKILLED geee this game is JOKE!!!
Hot wheels tracks are a bit diffrent to the usual tracks on horizon. The tunes you have most likely won’t work well. my rule of thumb is to go for a car with the highest score in top speed.
Note: drivatars can differ.
If you share with the community which cars you used and how they were tuned someone might be able to help you out.
Made a quick tune for the x6m, I’m not the best tuner but it can do the job.
Sharecode: 127 224 084.
Note that there are a few curves you can go full throttle and other you have to break before. Look into other players rivals runs to see where they gain their time.
Also, you don’t have to win all of the races, you can come up to 5th in one race, and you are OK so long as you win the other two races… usually. Although 3rd is what you should be OK with.
top speed is more important in the HW expansion race. Keep in mind that top speed and horsepower are the priority for upgrades.
the FH5 AI is programmed to run away from you with cheat boosts in the beginning of the race and slow down after the midpoint of the race to allow you to catch up. This is especially true in circuit races; wait until after the second lap.
the AI difficulty in FH5 is inconsistent even under the same conditions (*including drivatar level), plus there is a rare bug where the AI keeps running away from you without losing the cheat boost. You can change the AI difficulty by restarting the race, so if you just can’t beat it, try restarting a few times.
I had no issues winning this championship and had 3 wins I recall. Yes it was a bit challenging but certainly doable for an average driver like me. Most of the time I use tunes by ugrundy as these get the job done.
Probably a really bad advice and I wouldn’t recommend outside of racing AIs solo
It’s definitely a “cheap” way to win HW races for sure, but I found the walls along HW tracks super effective.
I’d go with any car that’s got great acceleration and top end, handling and braking is irrelevant and full throttle for 95%+ of the race, can angle the car so it bounce and glide off the walls without losing much if any speed going through corners while the AIs brake and decelerate, for slower and tighter corners using the handbrake to swing the back end around and get a good bounce off the walls, never had a problem with any HW race
4:49.923 in a Bentley Bentayga with a drag tune by COMoonStars. Has a 7.9 speed, and 10 for both accerleration and launch. Gotta be careful in the hard turns with it
4 of the AI pulled off times between 4:54.7 - 5:59.6.
And as others have said, you start in last on every Hot Wheels race no matter what difficulty. It makes it more challenging for sure as the AI tends drive 3-4 wide on key parts of the tracks making it hard to get clean passes early.
My personal recommendation is to play games that don’t force changes to the difficulty options on you.
Honestly, these folks like to make a show of their accessibility options but apparently can’t imagine any reason, be it a physical malady or any other reason that someone might simply not be able to deal with their “quirky” AI.
As far as the original question of “what kind of gameplay testing…” I think the answer is “No.” No, I don’t think they test any of this.
I used the Levante Ferrari engine FTW. It has a high top speed and makes huge gains over the ai through the ice as mentioned because they seem to nearly stop there.
