i know i’m just being funny, but seriously this game is just slow with every aspect…
starting a race, i can understand it takes a minute to load all the graphic details we love to see.
i’ve never had to drive so slow to be fast in a race game compared to forza 4 and forza 3.
why am i forced to watch my car roll so slow through the pits at 3 or 4 different angles, seriously!
watching my driver and car rank up, come on let us do like with horizon 2 and press the “A” button 7 times to skip all this non sense…
maybe they needed the menu system to be so slow in order to fool us into think the cars are faster…
2 - the fasted drivers are usually the ones who look most in control. Last year Vettel looked like he was slower than Hamilton, but was in fact faster.
3 - No idea what your are on about with the angles thing, but pit lane speed limits are part of all racing
4 - That takes a few seconds! It probably took you longer to type this thread up than it does watching the level bar go up.
To moan about loading times like this you must either:
1 - be so incredibly busy, I’m surprised you even have time to play
2 - you just really wanted something to moan about.
And this is coming from me - one of the biggest critics of FM5.
This is absolutely true. It might seem odd, but slower can actually be faster. For example, on Reddit I’ve seen people looking for advice on getting faster and they reference drifting, which results in every experienced players strongly recommending to stop that immediately. It looks cool, but isn’t fast, which is part of why you don’t see F1 drivers drifting.
MOM (my oh my . . . ). That’s not really called for since PTG Claret is one of the most active / fastest FM enthusiast.
I do agree there are too many “wait and see” moments in FM5. Certainly not as horrifying as Assassin’s Creed Unity loading times though (I can take a nap!)
Tier means nothing other then you have played a lot of different Forza Titles. I’m a higher tier then PTG Claret and I can’t even get close to his car’s shadow.
Clearly a huge lack of knowledge here since PTG Claret not only owns the game, runs a weekly GT Race League on FM5, is stupidly fast and is an amazing tuner. There, you’ve both learnt something today.
Class dismissed.
its no wonder Forza is finished , lol …When u got muppets like this playing the game, oh dear another example of why i and many others have moved on…
Absolutley clueless and living in a world with the rest of the circus …Whatever happened to Forza ? It used to be a place to get away from the nuggets, but now it seems to attract them.
Please go and play need for speed and leave Forza for the people with at least half a brain to race in peace…
How about the fact that you have a Driver’s Permit and he has an A-Class Racing license having clearly spent way more time on the forums and within the community than you have?
How about the fact that when I open the leader boards and search the TOP filter I can find his gamertag within the top 100 regularly and look forward to racing him as a rival. Where are you in the top 1% regardless of track or class? Oh that’s right…
How about the act that Forza 5 forces you to take some corners slower and drive with a more mature outlook on racing because it has the most realistic physics engine of any Forza title to date so the cars behave as they actually would in real life as opposed to an arcade video game. After you come to terms that in Forza, as in the real world, there are corners you cannot take faster than 150 mph or even 60 mph for some and you will be a much quicker racer. If SIFO weren’t the case, so many experienced and professional drivers wouldn’t always stress over it.
I’m not saying Forza 5 is perfect, but it’s not as if anyone has done better. Second, what you are moaning and groaning about sounds as if you expected Forza 5 to be a Forza 4 port-over from the Xbox 360. Instead Turn 10 went out and built the game, tracks, and models from the [almost] ground up to use the new console to the best of it’s abilities. I’m sure if they simply ported FM4 and added content you would also be complaining about something though.
I believe as Turn 10 becomes more comfortable with the new platform, optimization for loading sequences will be bettered. Somehow I think communication with the Cloud may have a role in some of the slowness associated with Forza Motorsport 5 - again, something I think will be improved upon as the franchise moves forward.
Loading races seems faster than FM4 and loading multiplayer seems way faster. Agreed that its still slow, but doesn’t seem any slower than other xbox one games I’ve tried. However, it could be improved.
Huh? I’ve set plenty of killer times and never had to drive slow to do it. I’ve drove the cars super hard just like in other Forzas.
If you’re referring to slower laps than other games, that’s due to improved physics. As the physics become more accurate, the lap times will be slower by a bit. Don’t forget about the insane laps awd cars could do in FM3.
Never had to pit so idk. Pits are supposed to be slow for safety reasons in real life so forzas treatment seems fine. It probably also helps nullify possible issues of cheating too if you could take them at full speed.
Yo XCelerate. Tier levels don’t really mean much other than you complete alot of achievements And you don’t have to be that good to complete the bigger percentage of them!
Maybe, just maybe, Dude I actually do have Forza 5 and just maybe I made tier 4 (which is completely irrelevant) solely playing FM4-5 on this Gamertag, and just maybe, FM5 is about the only game I play on my Day One edition of the XBox One, and just maybe I play it that much, I host a successful GT championship, with organised races each week.
This would mean I have no need to remember your post of moans( hard to remember amongst all the others) and come back here once upgraded, because I’ve been here from the start. Much longer than yourself, Dude.
Tier levels aside I know what the OP means. I find myself pressing buttons all the time in the vain attempt to hurry the game along. I guess the slow points and result menus at the end of MP races may be necessary to give time for everyone to get back to the lobby but there are a few other examples. There are a couple that I’m sure must bug other people. OK so you get time to vote a track. Then a 45sec countdown. Then another 15sec countdown for why? There’s still another 15 seconds of track pictures before you’re on the grid. The only loading to be done is competitors paint schemes as everything else is native on your XB. This does seem excessive and the longer you play the longer the inter race waiting time seems to get. There is another one that doesn’t actually take much time but I always get irritated by it. So you buy a car and just want to get started tuning or painting but no. First you have to listen to “this is your …” I know it is, I’ve just chosen it - now go away woman!!!
I’m Tier 7 and I got that just by playing the games. But I still suck at the games.
I was Tier 3 or 4 like 5 months ago before I attempted to get all the Reward Points for the Xbox 360 games to convince myself to get an Xbox One as a reward. Now i’m on my way to 11,475/11,500 before Forza 6 comes out hopefully (-15 as Forza 3 does not think I have the achievement for owning at least one car from every manufacturer, when I do. -10 as I can’t get Forza 2’s Auction House Achievement)
I just love the series a lot and try to do everything in them. But I would not consider myself good at the games, just like driving games and Forza and me go way back.
