Just to start with, I’ve seen the other threads about people having issues, but I wanted to try and be more direct with this to see if anyone has had this or if anyone can help me. So if this needs to be locked, that’s fine.
I’m not getting any of the dialogue audio from the demo (like in the opening cut-scene, GPS etc). I’ve deleted it and re-downloaded it and I’m still having the issue. Just spent an hour with XBL Support to make sure it’s not a console issue, and apparently it’s not. I told them I’d been searching on here but they just told me to try here again.
So, has anyone else had this? Does anyone know a fix? I’d really like to pre-load the Ultimate Edition, but this is really putting me off.
Any help, information or anything really would be appreciated!
Edit - changed title to see if some can clarify.
Edit 2 - For some reason, my HDMI audio was set to 7.1 uncompressed, changed it to stereo uncompressed and it’s working now!
By no talking, I mean any of the voices. I’m not getting the voice-over in the opening cut-scene, I can’t hear the GPS, can’t hear the voices in the other cut-scenes and I can’t hear whoever talks whilst your driving.
Added that to the OP so it makes a little more sense, I probably didn’t word it too well.
Lol… I keep replaying the demo and as soon as I get control of the LAMBO all assists off and when gps starts talking I turn voice sound off… Radio too… For now…
Oh at least I’m not the only one having this problem then. The only reason it’s bugging me so much is because i don’t want to fork out over £70 to find my game doesn’t work properly.
I use headphones and hear the voices (not just in my head😜) I haven’t played using tv audio so I presume it’s a bug when using that. I hope it works ok in the full release for people that use tv audio, seems a strange bug though.
I have a Harmon Kardon and Bose surround sound system, I have played the demo several times, and I haven’t had any trouble with audio. In fact, I thought it was pretty good aside from the music (…which I turned off. We need more George Jones and Merle Haggard around here! Haha.)
I’m sure this is a moot point, but have you changed any audio settings recently? Also, have you tried a reboot of your Xbox One by holding the power button on the console until it shuts down? Perhaps that might resolve the problem.
I wouldn’t worry myself too much over sound issues, or any other issues, making their way into the full release. I’m sure they’ll have everything ready to go by the 30th.
I have my “Ultimate Edition” predownloaded and waiting.
