I’ve created a design for the McLaren 12C based on the new Formula 1 McLaren livery for 2015 - my first ever race paint!
I’m interested in any feedback on the design - should I replicate it for the other McLaren cars?

It’s actually pretty great!! You obviously put a lot of time and effort to make your logos.
A fair bit yes - the Honda logo on the bonnet was actually the hardest as the curves are quite irregular and I couldn’t use the base colour as cut-outs because the metallic background needed to come through. Cheers for the positive feedback!
Great job on the logo work there and really shouts McLaren.
Personally I would’ve gone smaller on the sponsor details and run the red stripe along the coachline to the rear instead of the a-pillar, but thats me lol.

Cheers! It’s a question of time really as I have a young family. I’m also working on a new fantasy design which is starting to come together nicely but has been a labour of love. Will be releasing that soon hopefully. Appreciate the comments - they are a good incentive to keep investing the time and improving my skills
Love your interpretation of the F1’s design on his younger brother. Great work and very clean decal work. Just the rear slightly too busy for me with perhaps too many themes together in relation to the rest of the design. But hey man, also just a personal thing so dont bother. The design and application is spectacular.

I guess there is always the risk of keeping something in a design come hell or high water simply because you’ve spent time researching it and then implementing it - the logos at the back can be found under the nose cone of the new McLaren MP4-30 and took some tracking down which is probably why I stubbornly kept them in and sized them to not lose all of the detail. I guess the trick is knowing when to bin something off for the good of the design!
