Are the servers down for Horizon 1 cuz of maintenance? They were good Tuesday but then weren’t working. Any clues?

I had the same issues last night (around when this thread started). Couldn’t connect to the Horizon servers just like the error over Christmas. Single Player is accessible, but anything requiring an online link including 1000 Club are not accessible. Hope it’s just a temporary issue.
Oh dear. The servers are down again.
Yesterday I’ve attempted to play Forza Horizon and Forza Horizon 2 without success.
Hopefully they will be back soon. There can’t be a reason for the servers to be down for so long…

I don’t know why they have so much trouble with horizon and forza 4, but forza 3 always seems to work. Seems like when the horizon server is down, it no longer tracks anything with regards to rewards. Forza 3 has steadily kept up with my car count and maxed out. Forza 4 is stuck on 8 cars when I have well over 100 and horizon is stuck on 41 when it too is over a hundred.

The multiplayer part is working for me, but anything online connection-related is not working in singleplayer, including speed cams, rivals, and the 1000 Club thingies.
