Any news or updates regarding if this is getting fixed?

I am not able to fix it by restarting the game. Tried a bunch of times on Windows / Steam.

Update: After I tried restarting it a few times today to see if that would fix it… it’s acting up more, not less.

Any updates on the issues? As you can see many of us still unable to access the contents.

I think I’ve got at least a worthwhile clue.

It’s something to do with internet connectivity. As someone who works from home, I’ve got two internet connections and I flipped between the two and suddenly the problem disappeared. So… anything between BGP routing to wherever the servers are hosting, bandwidth, latency, retries, packet loss…

Special bonus network apex seasonal content: The 500 mile email story.

It went from bad to worst. Now the game is in constant loop
ā€œForza Horizon 5 has received an update and needs to restartā€

More than two weeks later, still broken for me. Tried everything, nothing works.

Me too, looked for solutions on every forum. Nothing works.

I had the same issue, and finally I could fix it by changing the language settings on XBOX Series X. I had the language and the location set to Swedish and Sweden, but I played in English without updating the game to Swedish. After I set the XBOX language to English/US and the location to US the online features of Forza Horizon 5 work as they should.

@Bibilax Thanks for the heads-up! This fixed it for me too. Well, sort of as something else got broken.

I changed my location from Finland to US, and all features were available and working again. Once I switched my location back to Finland, FH5 wouldn’t start. After the opening screen I received message ā€œForza Horizon 5 has received an update and needs to restartā€ and after that it was never-ending loop of restarts. Once I set my location again back to US, things were good once again.

I’m on Xbox Series X as well.

@T10ManteoMax Would You kindly forward this information to dev team.

And while we’re at it, as documented above, because of this server issue I haven’t been able to access Forzathon Shop for the past two weeks and I have missed out on un-owned time-limited content. Issue clearly wasn’t/isn’t in my end (unless you count living in Finland being one). How do I acquire that content?

This worked for me too! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! My Xbox X was set on Germany and German. After switching to USA and English all the missing stuff is back working! Forzaton Shop, Eventlabs, Rivals and even Mails with the obligatory gifted SuperWheelspins are working now.

But I agree with NuttyLittleBoy about all the Content we user who experienced this issues had missed. And I hope this issue will be fixed for good so this workaround isn“t needed anymore. I want to decide what language my console is set up to. Not some game.

confirm, it works. Thank you so much, this solution should be on workaround list.

Can this be done with PC user? I tried to check on Xbox App, found nothing about location.

Hope anyone that are trying to find so many solutions can get it fixed

This solution work on my PC (and I 've tried so so many alternative solutions),

try Change your country or region

PC Setting >> Time and Language >> Country or region >> Restart >> go on FH5 you should see rivals on FH playlist then you know it works.

Yap! Switching XBOX Location from Finland to US fixed everything. Who has problems with Finnish people?..

Eventlab is down.

Yes, this restart loop is somehow related to location settings. As when one installs the FH5 it’s language settings will be ā€œSystem defaultā€. So if your language settings are all US but location is not, game gets confused somehow about what language packages has been installed? So when you change FH5’s own language settings to English US, you are able to start the game. However you must temporarily change your Xbox system location to US, then change game language to English US and after that you can again change your Xbox system location back to your own non US location.

Well, a month later it finally works. Not sure if there was finally a patch/fix.

I did everything possible on PC gamepass. Changed languages, reinstalled, turned everything on and off etc…

Even the cars stuck in the auction house were still there.

I still have this issue after downloading the new update. I can`t sell cars in the auction house any more since 3 days. From one to the other moment i recieved an error message that I have to many files and then the server is not available at this time.

Playing on PC Win10, stable internet connection, all updates done, newest NVIDA driver setting, update for newest release done, restarted PC several times, renewed cache, nothing helped. Same error message when doing upgrades on cars, but the upgrades are saved after that. Deleted some designs and some tunings … same error each time I want to sell a car in the auction house. Rest of the game is fine, I can still play, buy cars, do the festival playlist …

Any help out there how to fix this other than reinstalling the game (which at no time had an effect on bugs in the past but cost lot of useless time)? It is mentioned this bug should be fixed with this update, but for me the problem is still there …
