Serious question: Has anyone here ever finished a Horizon Arcade?

I’m absolutely baffled by this Horizon Arcade thing. I must have been in 20+ so far, and the farthest I’ve ever gotten is half of round two. And that happened only once. Most of the time I’m the only one doing them, even if they’re the on-the-hour-ones, and not the 15-minute-interval ones.

I’m just trying to figure out how much of a dumpster fire this is for PGG. If people are regularly completing, them, like 50% or more of people regularly complete one full Horizon Arcade, then I can see them not caring that much - they’ll get around to it, but not urgently. But I’m just thinking that based on my experience, surely there can’t be a lot of people completing them? I just can’t see that happening. In which case - why the heck aren’t PGG doing something about them? Disabling the 15-minute-interval ones can and should be a very simple change, just flip a flag on the server.

But at this rate probably people will just get used to them absolutely not working not even a tiny bit, so even if they are fixed, people just won’t do them anymore.

I have few times. But usually I am alone there.

I have completed five out of 51! And all five were different so I got the currently rare Unlimited Prowess achievement. In future after they patch the game to extend the timer (???) this will probably be common but right now only 0.02% of players have it.

The only way I’ve been able to complete them is using the XBox ‘looking for game’ feature to take a convoy into them.

I’m lucky, I completed 15 arcade event but with an huge number of tries.
I have also the rare accolade with the funco as prize.
I admit that in the last days is easier to complete the event and it is important to stay in the “red circle of the event” early i think 2 minutes early is ideal.

I did once. Have likely tried less than 10

I finished one by accident when I was entered into it just driving home.

Yes I finished 1 earlier today it consisted of 2 smash the piñata rounds and a skills round. However that was the only 1 out of 5 attempts that was fully successful. On the other other attempts it kept failing on the last round saying no points had been scored when there was plenty time left on the timer and points were currently being scored. However getting 40pts for each of these fails was better than nothing I suppose.

Nope. 34 Horizon Arcade events entered, 0 completed…

managed to complete all 3 rounds yesterday with large group, it was speed arcade i believe and we finished with couple of minutes to spare, it’s the first one out of 20 i entered since launch
don’t think I’ll be doing anymore mainly cause i did it for lotus evija ot whatever it’s called

Best way to do this is to look for groups. I found one that had 12 people and asked for an invite. Got invited, waited for convoy leader to start in an Arcade event (Drifting) and we smashed it in about 6 mins i believe (probably less). It beats going to Arcade events and being the only one or two players there.

Do a quick search for horizon arcade in the forums here, and you’ll quickly see you are far from alone. The whole system is fundamentally flawed - nobody at PG sat down to think about how this would play out for more than two minutes, so here we are with this pile of garbage that they replaced the Forzathon Live bits from FH4 with. It doesn’t take a brilliant game designer to see the inherent flaws in this “feature”, but PG once again proves they a.) don’t care about the player base. at all. and b.) do not listen to feedback. ever.

I’ve done about 15 completely. Only 1 of those was just turn up and hope (Series 0). All the others I joined boosting groups in convoys.

i have completed absolutely loads… but only ever done 2 in "natural " play.

All others have been in a convoy organised through True Achievements.

nope. not once. and i have been playing since early release. as a matter of fact, the most players i’ve seen at one time in any of them are two others. funny enough that when i check how many online players there are in any given instance the most i’ve seen are five or six. where are the supposed “10 million players”? i have my doubts about the published numbers, and think someone is full of it.

Twice out of about 50 tries. The only two times a bunch of players participated. I mostly ignore Arcade now. Waste of time.

One. During the pre-release weekend for the ultimate edition. And even then, I only managed to find one that had enough people to complete.

once last week

i play all the time and first round is usually completed solo with seconds to spare

the funny thing is with more people i still get first round completed with seconds to spare
that shows me the time/score is way off or:
~ people dont know how to do the event
~ players cars are not set up correctly
~ or like what i have being seeing in the past couple days is a few trolls starting to show up
they join the event and dont do anything to help progress it along
i guess they are looking for free points … but, they wont get that from me because i will not finish the event if i see a troll around!

the good thing is i have just over 2000 Forza Points though!!
20 points for 1 round complete adds up over time!

Nope.
There are never enough players to complete Round 1.

<Subsequent correction; ditto.> Six times, including one up the volcano this morning and two in a row this evening. 50 (?) attempts in total. Didn’t need them for the playlist, though, being after the FPs.

I might’ve had another one yesterday because there were a sufficient number of people, but the game crashed to the desktop. I was after the points for the playlist, but having done other things, don’t actually need to do a complete Horizon Arcade this week.

Unlike Forzathon Lives, I arrive at these not knowing quite what I’m in for and whether I’m even in the right sort of car. There’s so little time that switching cars tends not to be an option unless my current vehicle is so unsuited to the task. Also, it’s too early in the game for me to have a pool of go-to vehicles. That’ll come in time.
