[Series X] Graphical draw distance (quality mode)

Is anyone else with a series X experiencing a graphical draw distance issue in quality mode? Most noticeable on ground texture and foliage.
The level of detail on and around the car appears to be fine. However, approximately 100 meters ahead of the car, then to the horizon, objects appear at a lower resolution.
This is most apparent when gunning it at speed where a horizontal line kind of appears. It’s as if the higher textures don’t load-in until the car gets within those 100 meters of the object.
Also noticeable in photo mode, which I use a lot.
The support page does suggest that there is ‘graphical corruption’ on the X, but I’m unsure if this is the same issue.
Anyone else getting the same?
My TV runs at 60hz.

It happens everywhere, not only in series X. Graphic quality in FH5 has decreased compared with FH4. They semi fixed the awful aliasing to a point and the shimmering slighty, but texture are completely disgusting. Welcome to forza horizon 5.

On PC, there is a shocking difference in how geometry behaves between High and Ultra settings in terms of draw distance, LoD (Level of Detail) switching, and shadows applied to distant scenery, not to mention GPU load. Everything has been shifted half a step compared to FH4. Ultra is higher quality than Ultra was in FH4, and High is higher quality than High was in FH4, but High in FH5 is still much lower than Ultra was in FH4. I imagine the same might be the case on the Xbox Series X; geometric detail is higher in Performance mode than it was in FH4, but lower than it was in Quality mode in FH4 on the Xbox One X.

A problem is that many objects, such as trees, cannot morph seamlessly between LoDs because geometric detail is reduced not just in polygon count but in the whole structure of the model. In one LoD, a tree might have modeled branches but in the next lower LoD, the branches are simply flat textures that don’t match in position. So when you approach that tree it abruptly changes shape.

Of course the game should be optimized specifically for the Xbox Series consoles with specific settings that don’t simply match those available on PC, but the problems may be similar.

I play on xsx with performance mode and noticed the follow:

If I drive my car up and over and a steep hill then there I can see a huge area of the map that hasn’t been drawn at all. Not very immersive…

On rare occasions the game has stuttered for some unknown reason and feels like it can’t draw graphics fast enough which makes it feel choppy.

Aside from that no issues. Game looks similar if not slightly better than FH5.

Are you talking about those big blue squares, where you can see the skybox through the ground?

On mine, it’s not just that’s it doesn’t draw in textures, it literally doesn’t draw in THE GROUND sometimes. It’s especially noticable on jumps, where you have a good line of sight, and is reproducible about 99% of the time like that.

I just done an Ek Balam CC race. Tried both the Performance and Quality modes, MAYBE on quality it’s a bit better but STILL there is this clear line in front of you where the grass is constantly popping in a higher quality version which is SO noticeable. I’m gonna try FH4 again
