Forza Horizon 4 Graphics Issue(?)

I’ve been playing FH4 for a while now on Xbox One (not One X) and with each update I’ve been seeing certain aspects of the graphics get turned down or something of the sort. I get that Turn 10 has been doing this to keep the game stable and running smoothly, etc… What I can’t seem to ignore though is the reduction in the roundness on edges, curves, circles, etc. that are on the cars or in the background (Those white and pink balloons you see during races). For example, even in photo mode where the graphics should be rendered as high as possible this issue (to me) seems to still exist especially when zoomed in. I think they should be at highest quality in photo mode, ESPECIALLY when zoomed in. Below is one example shot of a McLaren 600 LT’s exhaust. You can see the silver metal of the exhaust is jagged and not properly “round” as it should be.

While playing, this isn’t something that bugs me all that much, but when trying to take nice shots and the result shows the jaggedness of the graphics, that’s when it bugs the life out of me. Maybe this is an Xbox One thing? Players on the One X don’t have this issue?

That amount of zoom I would still consider the image HD… I mean you are right up the car’s butt.

You’re right nonetheless. Lol! I might like zooming in a bit too much.

I just had a look on my PC version with the graphics on max settings, including car detail set to ‘extreme’ which is higher than the console versions I believe.

I can’t say about that car specifically as I don’t have it, but I had a look at a Porsche and the exhaust does look jagged when you zoom in closely like that. It might just be the way it is (in the game).

You’re probably right. I might just be nitpicking a bit too much. Obviously it isn’t going to be super life like, it’s still a rendered game.

If you do care about extreme quality… console gaming is never an option.
