Series 47 Playlist Preview - Summer Season Screenshots (Pre-Updated)

These are the (potential) screenshots for Series 47 Summer which was originally run during Series 19 because common sense didn’t prevail and most people voted for Midnights at Horizon over Horizon Rush Takeover

The eventlabs may change so keep that in mind with these screenshots. The Rally Adventures championship may also change given that it was substituted in for S46 Spring and having it two weeks in a row may result in a replacement

The seasonal rewards (20 and 40 points) are different to the screenshot but Max has posted the info on another thread which is the first image below

All of this is subject to change but most is likely to be accurate

A couple notes from V1.0.

  • 1 star of the East Face drift zone qualified for the treasure hunt

  • Tuning the M5 was allowed as long as it stayed within the base PI.

Thank you. I have mentioned this information in my video.

Just wondering but why was it not good to vote for this one instead of the Rush Takeover playlist?
Hopefully they will change the rally race as we have just had this one in the current playlist. :+1:

It’s all opinion based. We all have different perspectives. Either choice was good.

Everyone has their own opinion of course but I will explain my view on the vote and why I think Rush would have been a better choice

The Rush takeover includes one of, if not the rarest accolade in the game relating to the special parade float event that was only possible to complete during one week of the games entire 3+ year history

To me, the ability to complete these ultra-rare accolades is something that would be more beneficial to players who started more recently than the reward cars offered by the Midnights playlist

I’m not interested in any arguments that some players have about respecting the grind or sucks to be you for missing out because that stinks of selfish mentality. Accolades and cars should not be locked away in this fashion but they are and these votes are an opportunity to make these ultra-rare items available

With the exception of a handful of ultra-rare cars (none of which are in Midnights,) cars are quite easy to get either through auction or the backstage area

I also think Rush had the better reward cars if you are not worried about accolades

That’s my take and if you agree, great. If you don’t, well, that’s your opinion and your entitled to it but I hope you have some new understanding of why I believe rush would have been better

I am in no way making a dig at you for asking the question. I’m just explaining my opinion for anyone reading this and wondering my reasons.

5 exclusives vs 4 as the Mini FE was an additional series reward in Rush.

2 of those 5 are extremely strong S1 cars (X-Bow GT4 and Noble M600) while in Midnights the Nevera despite my own personal like of it is one of the worst S2 cars in the game.

The Lexus LC500, nice car but nothing remarkable even just within it’s weak GT Cars car type.

The two Cadillac’s can make decent A Dirt cars so are good for Modern Muscle dirt seasonals but one car in there is better than them both, and guess what? It’s a Cadillac lol, the ATS-V which is just 65k in the autoshow, both Blackwings are just meh for A Road/Street too where the ATS-V also beats them.

Outside of that the car rewards in Rush are much better and would be more beneficial for newer players trying to save credits for the houses, Hotel Castillo in particular, in the first week of Rush alone they’d have been able to get the Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Focus and Group A Escort, original Aventador, FD Corvette and a McLaren 720S Spider.

The final week had the Bugatti T35 C as a reward from a simple seasonal stunt, the 160pt car for the series was the Porsche 917 LH, the 40pt car for Summer was the Zonda Cinque, Autumn the FXX-K, the 300SL for Winter and although not valuable an extra exclusive in the '84 Civic for Spring.

For a new player who hasn’t been lucky enough to get them in a wheelspin yet that would be 22.3 million credits saved there just on those cars.

The only thing I’ll give Midnights is yes it had 4 new exclusives but that was for us who were already playing, for anyone who wasn’t this re-run of it is like they’re getting 10 guaranteed new cars as the other 6 were/are Hard To Find cars.

But honestly I doubt many looked at it like that.

Based on Midnights winning this I would now guess that whatever looks best/is likely to appeal to people at face value will win their vote, Horizon Anniversary, Donut Media, Japanese Automotive, Italian Automotive, Retrowave, Back To The 90’s and Midnight Muscle, I would be amazed if any of those lose their first vote unless they’re put against one of the others mentioned there.

The troll move from PG would be to have Welcome To Mexico vs Extreme E in a vote one time :joy:

Emphasis on “had” as the Toyota 4Runner and 2020 Nissan GT-R were swapped out for Wheelspin cars for a potential re-run.

No worries mate,i was just curious.Slightly off topic but what decides what cars are put up for vote in the backstage pass ? Some of the choices dont seem that rare or hard to get on the AH.

That’s anyone’s guess.

It might be a person at PGG, an AI asset selector, a cabal of ancient mystical gnomes plotting to cover the world in jam, or something altogether more ridiculous

The fellas at PGG just write car names on pieces of paper, tape the papers to rocks, and throw them at a wall. They then select the papers assigned to the four rocks that left the largest marks on the wall as that week’s backstage cars.

All hail the Jam Gnomes!

I’m led to believe that their preferred title is “The Justified Ancients of NooNoo of the Discordian Order” but “Jam Gnomes” is easier to explain to people

You know, I recently bought several jars of jam from one of those guys, for $15 US dollars… or $4,775,602,750 in the gnomes’ local currency, the NooNooan Sharpoopsydoopsymakalallabock.

You do NOT want to know how hard it was to calculate the exchange rate. (it was good jam, though. Really.)
