Drove the Evo III, set the best time for the trial car restriction on board with a 2:41.879 by 0.116 seconds. #45.
The build on this one was a lot different than the Evo 9 build. Drag tires cost more PI than stock tires, which is different than in some/all of the other car choices, so I went with stocks. Stayed with the stock spoiler, and stayed with the stock engine. I liked that the stock look was effective in this car, as I dont like the look of Evos and WRXs with no spoiler. Used the sport weight reduction so I didnt go all out toward a power build. I noticed the next best Evo III time was using race weight reduction. That was an excellent driver and their first and last turns were about as good as can be done, but more power seemed to suit these fast street races better. I left a little time out there. I didnt check to see if no weight reduction would be even better, but the build I used was pretty good … #45 after all. I shared the tune if anyones interested. MC needed to get the most out of it. SC:
Driving the Evo III against a really good driver’s time revealed that theres advantages to going offroad more than I was doing in the Evo 9. That first right hander before the traffic circle needs to be finished on the road though … I think. I made up time on that good ghost while they were finishing through the grass. Speed out of the turn seemed more important than maximizing speed in the turn. Knowing all that, I may go back to that Evo 9 to see if I can knock off a second … but I need a break from Granjas.
