Well, that’s cryptic, but still promising. My wish is 1,000 of everything but 900/700/700 cars/designs/tunes is more realistic.

Love the car pass packs. It’s what we want more

I am finally feeling somebody care about the game again. If it’s your only game for next Xbox it probably better  Will play Horizon 4 even more.

It’s great that we got a garage that can store up to 1000 cars.

However, we are disappointed that the capacity of the UGC is intact.
In FM5 and later Forza, even just changing the body color to another OEM color consumes one livery save slot.
And with so many cars being offered as exclusives in FH4, we don’t even get to choose the body color of those cars when we get them.
In light of this fact, I would have liked to see at least a few more save slots in Livery.
The fact that you can only change livery on up to half of the cars in your garage is very painful as someone like me who asks for visual customization.

Yes, of course, we can guess that there were problems with doing that, etc., and we’d be happy with the extra garage capacity.

The car reset, hope the best and prepare for … lenient ( cool having tens of people proposing things on the forum, … as usual )

New slots for garage auto filling …200 duplicates adding to the garage in the coming months … so good…:(. hope the selection of cars won’t become a nightmare … oh forgot, not a problem for Eliminator so not a problem at all, isn’t it …
For sure it comes with no tunes/liveries slots … good news guys, you’ll have new cars but you’ll have to delete liveries and tunes of others to put some on it, great ?
What is UGC files with hardcoded limits btw ?

Removal of 10 championships qualification, flood of CPs with only newbees … doors are fully opened … not GM yet … hurry up!

That’s all for my negative mood of the day.

or it is a chance to get the GM, because all of the newbees don’t know how to quit

Beating on lobby of lower ranked is usually resulting no points or even loosing points.
Additionally any accident results in a huge loss of points. Following the guys trying to climb, it’s obvious to me that they are not looking increase of newbees lobbies as a great news.

It’s good to have more players there but it should have been done AFTER fixing the points system and adding penalties on ramming.

I wonder what is hidden behind quicker matchmaking. Given current often leads to non sense, like team of level 5 and above vs team of level 1 max, it could as well mean no matchmaking at all. The difference could be just to increase the frequency of unbalanced lobbies being ranked or not.

We will see, as always, game team is doing changes without discussing even a second with players very active on those subjects.

I deeply hope we are not going ahead with another car reset disaster as they did not express having reviewed the community proposals made on their FH4 official forum. I would have been less worried if they just had said, “We reviewed the community feedback and proposals, many good ideas, we discussed with active members of the community and we are confident on the solution taken”.

That’s so much negativity for no reason mate. First of all, whatever they do with car reset it’ll be an improvement over what we have right now. They just can’t make it worse, they simply can’t.
Duplicates in garage are annoying indeed, but at least we can get rid of the duplicate cars we get through wheelspins rather easily - all they need to do is implement that option to online adventures and it’ll be fine.
No excuse for tune/livery limit though, that needs to be increased next because not being able to apply a tune or livery to every unique car you own in garage is silly, it makes no sense. Hope they’ll tackle that in one of the future updates assuming this one goes well. I’d say keep the feedback coming, as long as it’s constructive.

As for the changes to ranked qualifying process, I really don’t see the problem? The one and only thing that’s changing is that now your rank will be publicly visible to everyone after you do one ranked race. Nothing else changes because we were given a rank after the first adventure anyway and it went up or down depending on whether you did well or not. I used to track my rank through stats tab on new accounts and could easily see how I’m climbing all the way up to L2 in the first 10 placement matches. In fact, this is a good change because now you’ll be able to see whether you’re going up against a L15 driver or L5 for example.

I like your optimism, I would not under estimate them on that but I will be there to apology and congrats if they do it well.
The fix for car duplicates won’t come as it is out of scope of Eliminator and won’t bring any new player, it was already a miracle we got that half backed update. all needed was to change that online ws to a reward and it was done … still fills the frustration of when they announced it …
For ranked, currently many new players are simply not going for ranked because of the 10 CPs, tomorrow, doors opened, we’ll see, I just hope flood will not happen even if it would mean FH is going down.

The majority of those unranked will still appear the same as they’ll only be there for that 1 adventure to get ranked for series completion.

The time it takes to get in online adventures is absurd for a 2018 game and just isn’t worth playing regularly for a lot of people because of that, in some 3 race adventures I’d bet you spend more time waiting + in loading screens than actually racing.

Why would people bother with such a disjointed stop-start experience when there’s many other games they enjoy that either load many times quicker or only have 1 big lump of loading at the start?

I applaud anyone who can stomach the online aspect of FH4 day in day out because the time spent doing nothing while the game loads something or finds a match is too much for me, even in an early 360 era game I wouldn’t find it acceptable.

It makes Duke Nukem Forever look like the Formula 1 of loading times.

So personally before the game’s time is up that is the one thing I would love an explanation to from PG, FH2 is 4 years older yet nearly everything loads far quicker.

30 seconds absolute maximum and FH2 will have found a road trip for me to join, FH4? I’d record it, upload it and title it ‘biggest miracle of 2020’ if it ever found an adventure or trial within 30 seconds.

Come on, no change to UGC? I appreciate the extra garage slots, but they feel useless without extra UGC, especially when most of the new cars are exclusives and you must spend a UGC slot to change color. I can understand designs take up a large amount of space, but tunes are just data.

Regarding the DLCs, it’s good to see my investment in the Ultimate Edition being rewarded once again. Let’s hope for some nice cars!

Aren’t they just repeats of cars you already have, unless they pull the Welcome Pack stunt again to increase sales.

I wasn’t aware of this, thanks for correcting me. Indeed, a bad move on their part. :frowning: Especially if they pull the WP nonsense once again.

Yep. I think people are not realizing this is NOT NEW cars. They are separating cars from the Car Pass and making them into new car packs. I really hope they don’t do a non-sense separation of the cars like the “Welcome Pack” did. A cheap way to increase car count, take up garage space and worst of all have 2 cars that are the same and separated by a Car Pack name.

Here’s a Porsche
Here’s the same Porsche but with “Welcome Pack” designation. They are both separate and count as 2.

Rather have new cars, new car packs. Audi hasn’t had a new car since 2016, practically the same cars from FH3. This game is ripe for the SQ8 or RSQ8.

The change to the flip reset sounds great. Hope they implement that correctly as that will make a big difference at Freeroam Rush.

How about fixing ranked points? Ranked system is entirely broken for team games/team racing. Reducing the amount needed to do for season completion just sounds like you guys are trying to kill ranked as passive aggressively as possible.

I’m going to diplomatically say that it is somewhat surprising that, when altering a couple of things to do with ranked, the elephant in the room that is the fact that the ranked points are completely broken in TA was ignored.

It’s the 3rd thing on the list after fixing the forum.
