Don’t bother contacting me on discord. I’m not there. Don’t bother PM’ing me here. I don’t have time to answer anything here.
However, did you know there’s actually this cool thing in the game called the Auction House? I can just post the cars I have for sale and then people buy them. No questions asked! It’s a pretty sweet way to sell cars. I really can’t believe not many people know about this. Oh and if you can’t see the cars I’m selling, it’s probably because you wasted time here instead of there.

Your entire post seems kind of passive aggressive, what’s your problem?
I’m not really sure what the point of this post is, given it seems you don’t want people to know what you’re selling so they can search for the cars they need accordingly. If you want to attract attention to your listings, then I assure you that telling people “just find them lol” is not the way to go.

Very ‘Crazy Earl’ kind of selling tactics.
I hope it works out for you
You ever go to the dealership looking to buy the car you want and you get there and it’s not there… maybe if you looked online you would’ve known before hand. This is a market to buy and sell specific items… if I was free balling I’d just click around in the auction house you dingleberry
Sure but if you have any chance of beating the snipers in the auction house, coming here first isn’t helping at all. The whole thing about posting here with intentions to sell or buy is just pointless unless there’s a way to specifically ensure any one user will get a car I’m selling.
Is there? I’m all ears.
I’ve asked this question several times on the forum but not a single person has replied with how to achieve that. Is there some sort of cheat involved? Is this why no one is saying how it’s accomplished?
Also… worst analogy ever.
It all about co-ordinating between buyer and seller about when the car will be listed. If I was to tell you I will list an Alfa 8c in 2 minutes, you would then set your filter and get into the search loop (Search, search, back, etc.)… wait for it to show, as soon as it does use the shortcut menu (Y), down one, X. You really don’t have time to go into the auction to select the buyout as with most of the rare cars listed here it will already be sold by the time you get there, it must be via the shortcut. On some listings you are dealing in 1 to 2 seconds max to get the buyout.
I’ve done this about 18 times so far as both a buyer and a seller, and it’s been successful mainly. I say mainly as I have lost 2 of them to someone else who got in before the intended buyer, an Alfa 8c and a Hoonigan Focus 9. Both occasions the listing was up for less the 2 seconds.
So it is very possible, but not infallible. Knowing when a car will be listed could save you hours of futile searching and that is what this forum is about. No cheating involved, but coordination and fast fingers are needed to complete the trade.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for that explanation.
So essentially, this method is just helping to coordinate a sniping session for the buyer so they’re not spending extended periods of time. I can definitely see the advantage to this in that respect.
I still don’t see how this is helpful at all to the seller though. Forgive me. Maybe I’m just being dense. If the seller is selling anything Legendary, I would assume it wouldn’t matter about telling anyone about it. It’s likely going to sell isn’t it? So other than knowing “when” it’s going to sell, I don’t get how that’s any more appealing than just putting it on the block and waiting. It certainly can’t take any more time than it takes to come looking for people on the forums.
Does that make sense or am I missing something?
It’s the economics of it and the way the auction house algorithm works out the max buyout. The Nissan Safari will sell at a max buyout of 76k, but it is very rare and difficult to find in the AH. I believe the buyout is worked out from how often a car is sold and if it went for the full asking price. Nobody is selling the Safari and it’s worth a lot more ‘economically’ than just 76k, but it won’t increase because the volume of sales is so low. It’s a bit of a gap in the logic of it all.
The only way people can sell any of their cars at a max buyout of 20m every time is by being a legendary tuner, which requires 50k likes and uses on liveries/tunes/vinyls, and not many people have that. So we have to sell at what the algorithm says is the max.
If someone is offering up the Safari and wants 20m or so they have to get the buyer to purchase donor cars first. Its usually the BMW M3 as it costs 30k and can be sold for up to 12m.
If the AH based price on search volume and rarity it would probably give a more realistic price, but it doesn’t so this forum gives both seller and buyer a better outcome with a bit of work!
