Sebring 243 laps?

I know it is an endurance race but didn’t realize it was going to be a lifetimes work. Does the lap length reduce over time? because this is going to kill me

Your assist setting for race length affects the event distance afaik.

ABS on
Steering Normal
Braking line only to keep me awake

Traction, Stability and Friction etc all off

Drivatar Unbeatable

Have to finish in top 3

So it is just over 8 hours. I can do that but T10 are optimistic their application can last 8 hours straight even with the improvements we have seen in past few weeks.

You have to go to the last point in that menu before you start the race, where you can set the race length to normal, long and very long (your setting). I have the german version, so I cannot say, if it is named very or extra long. Normally it is a 81-laps race. You can double and tripple the race length in the assist menu (long and very long races). Switch to normal and you have to drive only 81 laps … Yes, FM7 is not designed for working family-fathers, who spent an hour every two days playing on their XBox. You will need 3 hours plus minus a bit. I haven’t done it yet, but I need 3h for the spa-race with extra long distance, so it was also an 300 miles race.

Thanks Vodoo I just discovered that and it is set to extra long by default for some reason I have had to quit out and start again. Trying to hold 1st place while calculating this race was going to be a shocker and the figures are not adding up is not easy.

It’s one helluva race to do in “Unbeatable”. I do all my career races in “Unbeatable”, but the Sebring enduro is just tough - keep an eye on Rossi, he will smoke you. Best of luck.

To add to it a 300 Mile race on a track 3.7 miles long at 243 laps is 901 miles

:laughing: Looks like some one forgot they set career to extra long races I thik I would shoot my self first than do seabring on extra long:scream::scream: Doing it at 300 miles was just over 3 hours so would say it would take you 9 hours of non stop racing. Dont think your Hat drink holder will last that long:dizzy_face:

Just think if you do it and the game doesn’t crash, your reward will be a tonne of levels up, credits and rewards. How many I don’t know but be interested to find out

I made it!!

I quit out the first time at 13 laps once I realized it was going to take too long at 901 miles as per original post. The second time I quit out lap 9 because in 2nd place on unbeatable two parts of the track were already disappearing to black or skydome which seems to happen again since the last patch. I figured if I knock the Drivatars down a few notches and get out in front I might use fewer resources which I can confirm is true to a degree. Around lap 45 I started to lap the cars and after taking 3-4 laps to do so all the overpasses at the start-finish line and the grandstand etc the last 1/4 of the first left-hand turn started to disappear each lap after that and then part of the next turn both I did not see again for the remainder of the race. Last 15 laps of the 1/2 back straight decided to go missing on most laps as well. Was about 24’000 feet ahead so took last few laps pretty because I could see I was going to be lapping the rear cars again. I think the game still needs a little work T10.

Alan the back straight is a good coffee drinking spot

ChthoniCWarrior Hard to tell what prizes for the actual race since I only had Sebring to go and was waiting for patches to even attempt it so this was combined with finishing Sebring and completing the whole career and level ups.

Leveled up quite a lot didn’t bother counting but I took all this listed away for my efforts and placed at least 4 cars(level up) in rewards to collect later.
BMW M3
69 Camaro
Jaguar F Type FE
Tuxedo Suit
The Ford GT used to complete the race
Black Ford GT FE edition which is cool 50/50 at Le Mans
Elite Champion suit
Probably got the Evolution Driver Suit as well
I think I got Piles too

Thankfully back to my single player mode

Congrats on finishing it. How much credits did you get for finishing it?
I’ve done the 87 lap endurance race on Le Mans just now, and I only earned just over 1,000,000 credits.
I leveled up 22x so if I picked the credits for that instead of the cars I only would have earned in total just over 2 million for 5 hours of racing.
Was expecting a lot more than that.

Congrats on the finish, lunatic. I wouldn’t even attempt such a long race!

About your disappearing track segments, if you are on PC try turning your textures down. I had the same issue until I lowered my track textures from very high to high.

In the first Project CARS, I tried doing a twenty-four-hour race. I am a husband and father with a full-time job so it would have taken me days to get through it. 8.5 hours in, I came home from work planning to resume and was at the title screen. I’d do a really long race in FM7 but I don’t have faith in not losing my progress. Some weeks back I was well into a three or so hour race in FM7 and turned it off for a bit to eat, with the intention of resuming afterwards. I went to resume only to find my Xbox One updating itself. My progress was gone.

I do these long races at work coz it solves one conflict at least, I won’t even pause or use rewind as both has caused CTD’s in the past and I have developed a phobia so the only other option I can see for you is quit the job and lose the wife and kids. Might sound harsh but it is a pretty neat Ford GT FE. Okay Okay maybe holiday from work and send the wife and kids all expenses paid to the movies and to a beach/theme park to avoid an even longer enduring divorce settlement, disgruntled in-laws plus you end up being a hero. Win Win there
Xbox or Windows 10 you can’t trust Microsoft because the “We will take care of it for you when you are not using your device” means no screen, keyboard or mouse/controller movement for a set time is good enough for them to move on in.

@Zombyes - Thanks, I will check out my setting although the GPU here is running at half power and using 12-20% available memory at any given time. When I got the game on release it was doing this and CTD’s(CTD’s were chronic) then the last few patches corrected these issues and at most I had a few grey cars in the garage. The very latest patch has given me the disappearing assets issue again although not quite as bad. Only had 2 CTD’s in total since and one was changing wheels so I can live with it for now.

All i’ve got left to do is finish up Masters and Forza Cup and i’d have completed the elite Forza drivers cup. Not looking forward to the off-road buggies and Nomad spec-championships but i mean they can’t drive that bad?

Yeah, having a Crash to Dashboard was always at the back of my mind when i was doing the enduros but thankfully i completed all of them without having to restart.

Oh its is that bad or was till I managed to tune the horrible thing Did all my races ecvept for 2 lots on long the Nomad was one of the ones I droped to short it is horrable to drive or keep on the track with the Tune Turn 10 put on it Look for a hanedling tune for it and save your self some grieff I have one shared for it that made life easier.

Even with tuning, the Penhall still is not very good to drive. The Porsche-style snap-oversteer moments are frustrating too. That’s what happens when you try racing buggies on a tarmac track that would rather be jumping over sand dunes or tearing through trails.

Now back to topic.

Crashes only seem to happen when scrolling through menus, never had one during a race.
I had a complete straight to dashboard earlier today because I was fast scrolling through the leaderboards so I guess the memory leak is still not fixed.
Damn shame really as it is very annoying.

I never had a single crash since switching to the One X and copying Forza to an external SSD in 30+ hours since then.
Before that it would crash sometimes multiple times an evening. Worse in Multiplayer.
