Overall, it looks like any other Scuf, just with some fancy stripes. At that price, all you’re paying for is the badge.

Regardless of the badge, I’d call it an art piece at that price, where valuation is entirely up to the collector. If someone finds it more attractive than just “some fancy stripes,” could they recreate it with the same skill for $200 over the controller price? Maybe. For some, if it’s attractive enough, it will just be worth buying from SCUF.

This. While not everyone is keen to pay such a hefty amount for something like this, I can see the sentimental value of owning it from a Porsche collector’s perspective. Hell, I’ll admit I was excited to get my hands on the GT3RS Lego model that came out last year.

If I were to buy this one-in-500 controller, I wouldn’t want to actually use it for fear that I’ll eventually have to throw it out if it breaks. I’d imagine some people would probably go that route.

[offtopic]Lovely thing, that. Great fun to build too. Worth every penny.[/offtopic]

the elite controller cost 100 euro at the moment … so 270 euros for 2 piece of leather and a cool paint maybe is too much ( okay the car model etc ) …

I have to say, that controller is a work of art.

It’s beautiful. Very tempting…

I could buy a decent wheel for that price. :joy:

Wow being the Porsche lover I am my eyes lit up, then I saw the price and my eyes are now soulless black! Not gonna say it’s not worth it, it looks amazing, but holy mother…

This is gorgeous. If I were a Porsche and a Forza fanatic I would definitely be getting one, but at that price and not being a huge Porsche fan that’s too much even for me.

So, are they suggesting there are people that “collect” XBox controllers. How odd is that?

No more odd than the market for collecting scale model cars or used baseballs with handwriting on them:

People do collect controllers. People collect consoles too.

I do that…

£300!?

Yeah, I like it, but but not £300 like it.

Name any inanimate object and there is probably someone who collects it.

I was seriously considering ordering one of these being a huge Porsche and Forza fan, until I realized I have to convert the price to CAD which is $457.23. Money better spent on a Xbox One X to view a bunch of different Porsches in beautiful 4K.
