AGH! &(*!£&!! ( Unbelievable amount of swearing ) Been tuning the '22 Focus stupidly assuming it was on the list

The Camry is the only bright spot for me this series. It’s eligible (upgraded) for the super saloons SC too :+1:

As with the TT RS, the Holden weekly is another repeat as are the next two. Did we run out of cars?

the BMW 1m danger sign daily challenge is a repeat from only 4-5 months ago

What is with that Forzathon Shop? 2 cheap Autoshow cars…am I missing something?

Like last week I only took out a small selection here so this didn’t take that long, both the BMW times are from an older test.

X6 M (xDOUGIEFRESHHx, stock) - 1:04.214

Superb times from the Subaru, Mazda and Renault, I’ve been stuck on that 1:00.627 for well over a year now and never been able to find anything that could beat it let alone break the minute barrier.

Ridiculous fact here for anyone who doesn’t fully know how OP the Sierra is, my time here with Izzum’s MX-5 was at #277 on the B class board, and yet it was still slower than my C class 700R time.

I’m going to do a 2nd part to this shortly, we all know how bad Cathedral can be in a Trial at the start so I’m going to run them all on the Teotihuacan Drag Strip and see which ones will give the best chance of getting away from everyone off the line, hopefully meaning you can get up to + around that 1st left before the usually almost inevitable carnage ensues.

Nice work. Love the science at the drag strip. I would guess though that if you’re able dip into the 59s in b class cathedral you can prob hang back in that first hairpin and still dnf the ai.:joy:

I think I’m gonna tune like 1 car for next week, these are some broad and messy restrictions

Seems really random. Will def do a few more for the trial. Enjoy cooking cars for Cathedral and there are some good picks in the pile for that. Would be nice to beat my sweaty Sierra time.

Been meaning to ask, cannot find any of your tunes with your name? :man_shrugging:

thought for you tuners

While there’s plenty of cheating, too, the game makes at least a vague attempt at matching robot PI when in Trial races. This made me think.

If one car is tuned low-PI but to be better than stock then it could be beneficial for the team overall.

One. While it’s likely to get beaten by high-PI (and cheating) robots if it’s tuned well and gets a half-decent drive it’ll beat more than its fair share. Anyone choosing a low-PI tune is likely to be a better driver (maybe).

Two. It’ll also mean higher-PI humans get a chance to pick off an easier target.

Hope that makes sense. Could be complete nonsense. Any thoughts?

I only usually share my stuff from these tests if they finish top, often it’s just because I haven’t been able to find a suitable looking tune to download when I end up doing my own tune, every time the Trial is on Cathedral it always happens.

Added Izzum’s BRZ tune to both lists, 23.407 on the drag strip but a quite ridiculous 58.926 on Cathedral.

0.117 faster on the drag strip and 0.8 on Cathedral than the MX-5 was.

So I’ll be recommending that for sure, unfortunately I’m a sucker for sentiment so I’ll be going with the Corrado, the car this whole franchise began with almost 12 years ago now.

I like the corrado more than the golfs, even aesthetically

Yeah, for my money the very worst thing you can have in a Trial are terrible drivers in maxed-out cars. Not only are they feeding the AI free points, they’re also raising the average PI level and thus making it all the more difficult for the rest of the team to get ahead of them. If I have to be on the same team as someone who sucks, at the very least I want them to be in the lowest-PI car possible so I can get a freebie AI pass or two.
