Hide and Seek in the playlist, no surprise there, unfortunately.

no good accolade rewards, so I’m seriously not gonna play it ever. not once.

The season (and series) looks pretty good overall imo. 3 mainland championships with a good variety of choices. The trial has a lot eligible. :+1:

preview video for the whole series. I find it handy having all of this in one place.

Trial is B700 UK dirt, here’s the cars eligible stock:

and here’s the closest for downclassing:

It’s not the fastest and it’ll depend on the tracks but I’m liking the Lotus 340R for the trial, it’s a rare car and it’s like a go kart.

I like this car but like you said, not very fast

DBR1, Esprit and Elan i’ll probably test out first as they are generally pretty good for dirt.

Trial thumbnail course is Montana.

I’ll still run the Elan here but by chance I am currently at 3:19.349 with it, has to have been with UnworthyPleb’s tune whenever I did that.

Just for laughs and giggles I’m going for some of the Morris junks
Probably is enough for decent placement in races.

//Turns out at least some of the Morrisi’s are easily capable to reach top 1000 on Montana rivals, not that they are gonna light up the leaderboards but should be easily enough to beat average trial player.

Did few runs with the Minor 1000, about 650’s at leaderboard and Minor series II was about 900’s, faster players could easily achieve better times than me.

Well one thing I did learn from this was how much I’ve improved since that original Elan time, doing the majority of Montana hundreds of times during Gauntlet runs has stopped it being the daunting track I used to always see it as.

Not sure if the I-Pace will be eligible but if it is it will be a nice novelty using one of the 2 ‘forbidden’ cars so thought I’d put it in just in case.

B UK Cars (Montana Trail)

Lotus Elan (TGM) - 3:13.660
Lotus Elan (UnworthyPleb) - 3:15.345
Esprit '80 (PROHA1832) - 3:15.487
Aston DBR1 (TGM) - 3:16.455
Mini '65 (Saeenu) - 3:16.555
Bentley 8 Litre (UnworthyPleb) - 3:18.098

E-Type (Syokora996) - 3:18.282
Jag MK II 3.8 (TGM) - 3:18.715
Aston DB5 (TGM) - 3:18.891
MG MG3 (TGM) - 3:19.124
Morris Minor 1000 (origalde4650 ‘Dirt V1.1’, 699PI) - 3:19.358
Jag I-Pace (TGM) - 3:20.009 (race time vs Tourist AI)
Napier Railton (TGM) - 3:22.503

Not 100% on if I’ll share my Elan tune, mine launches better than Pleb’s but the rest of the time difference is simply from me getting to know the course and driving better, I don’t think there’s much between the tunes themselves and Pleb’s is much more refined than mine, also Pleb’s will be better for if the 2nd/3rd races feature tarmac as it was tuned for Mangrove like almost all of his/her tunes.

Ignore any blatant rip-offs of Pleb’s tune as well, only clueless people trying to appear competent would do such a thing and the build will only take it so far, anyone desperate enough to resort to that won’t have a clue what to do with the actual tuning otherwise they’d have made their own build from scratch.

I’ll probably go with the Esprit anyway, probably won’t be many occasions where it’s one of the strongest options in a seasonal event so may as well make the most of it.

Amazing times on my least favourite track @TheGillesMuller. My small consolation is that I wouldn’t be DNF’d.

Set my fastest time with the Esprit. I think the tuner is PR0HA1832 or PR0HA 1832.
Share Code 142 587 378.

Close thing though with:
My favorite - the Bentley 8 Litre (UnworthyPleb), the Lotus Elan (UnworthyPleb), and the Mini '65 (Saeenu). One of my least favorite tracks. I always drive with Simulated Steering and with some of the tunes and lighter cars the slightest bump and my car is all over the place. Probably my fault and switching to Standard Steering helps.

I agree. it’s too fast in higher classes and too long in lower classes.

I shan’t mention my times here, that would be too humiliating, but took your advice and tried Proha’s tune for the Esprit, shaved seconds off my previous attempt, then tried Quantum JAK’s tunes for both the Esprit and Elan, both shaved off time but the Elan was best for me 164-102-004 :+1:

@TheGillesMuller - I’m amazed at how you handle that Elan down Montana track. I’ve tried to keep up with your ghost but by the first big sweep your starting to just pull away.

Happy though in the fact that after your position at 37, I’m at 340 , which is the next best Elan position on the board.

It can be brutal in a coop situation especially a class and up

I like it in rivals in the lower classes. (Except for the humiliating gap one of my friends just handed me in b-class. :joy:)

It’s one where you can drop your time a lot just from improving lines/driving Usually test on this for anything I want to try on the gauntlet just to make sure I can get a clean run through it.

Should be an interesting trial.
