I’ll do and put my test up tomorrow because trust me it won’t take me long, the R390 is the only Nissan I’m going to bother trying and the only definite Porsches at the moment are the 935, Carrera GT, 918 and Mission R (which will finish bottom on this course guaranteed, I just really like driving it).

The rest I’ll have to look through my Word document and see if there’s any standouts from previous tests, if there is I’ll add those in too but chances are my list is going to be very small this week.

Mostly dreary not great performing cars for one of the most dreary courses in the game. perhaps there really is an element of truth to this Trial’s name.

Well you’ve not been wrong before, but D class in Ra Ra? Oh Noooo! Thanks Mr C  :+1: :hugs:

I was just going by the cars and their most common stock class

S1 Nissan vs Porsche (Ruta Norte)

Nissan R390 (zombiejesus52) - 1:58.702
718 Cayman GT4 RS (TheDannny) - 1:59.061
#70 935 (Marethu1 ā€˜Basic Ditch V12’) - 2:00.120
918 (Nalak28 ā€˜Chill S1 Road’) - 2:00.370

911 GT3 RS 4.0 '12 (Seeyeahboss) - 2:00.621
911 Turbo S '23 (K1Z Bard ā€˜More Power’) - 2:02.506
Carrera GT (OnlyNaps) - 2:02.523
Mission R (PTW xbbruate) - 2:07.411

The R390 reminded me why it was once my favourite car to drive in the game, no aero but still a breeze to drive.

Only 8 cars here but stuck a space between them as I’d recommend the top 4 and not the bottom 4, Mission R was expectedly useless, Carrera GT just doesn’t seem to be a very good car (done poorly in previous tests too with different tunes), I only added the Turbo because it was a new exclusive I hadn’t driven yet, and that GT3 isn’t as much of a handful on a course like Ruta Norte but without the blistering pace it had on Reservorio it has nothing going for it here.

Best to look up what the other two courses are on Thursday too, if it’s a more technical course for the 2nd race I wouldn’t recommend the 918 either.

I stuck to the conventional route for all the cars for the sake of fairness + the fact nobody is likely to take the alternative routes in the Trial itself.

Pretty forgettable test though to be honest, I wouldn’t encourage anyone to run Ruta Norte a lot in one sitting either.

Seeing as the Trial test was so short I thought I’d do another little one for a seasonal event, I don’t know how many do the RA SC but D Rare Classics was unusual enough for me to want to have a go with them, going by the championship’s name I ran them on Devil’s Pass.

All my own tunes, if the vintage white walls aren’t in brackets they’re on stock tires…

D Rare Classics (Devil’s Pass)

Alfa Giulia '65 - 3:50.789
Bentley 8 Litre (VWW) - 3:51.698
Merc SSK (VWW) - 3:51.832
Porsche 356 A (VWW) - 3:53.100
Merc 280SL - 3:55.469
Merc 300SL - 3:55.602

Even the Alfa is over 14 seconds off my time on the board on there, these are not good cars for D class RA but it was a fun 20-25 minutes all the same.

I’ve found the '69 Toyota 2000 pretty good too :+1:

I might be wrong about the D class RA but it’s the best I can come up with until we have the official info

I have the 1965 Alfa Giulia penciled in for it too with AerospaceWig32 tune

Not all Nissan and Porsche, but only GT-R and 911.

Can we use the new porsche 911 gt3rs 2023

I’ve just seen the restrictions. I was mostly right but the Trial and RA/HW championship need adjusting

I think that all Porsches that have a 911 in their name can participate in the Trial. If you want to use the 911 gt3rs 2023, then why not, but just in case, there should always be a backup option, maybe even two.

Pity because that Nissan R390 is really good with the zombiejesus52 tune.

The Nissan R390 would have been nice. my problem is that the only eligible cars tested are not auto show cars so I am going with the best of what I already have in the garage for this week.

2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
2002 Nissan skyline GT-R V-Spec II

The Trial already seems like a mess so I’m just going for completion rather than good laps

Not directed at anyone here, just the restriction, 911’s yet again after they had their own specific Trial at the end of the previous series  along with the first one of that being German Modern Super Cars, which was basically the BMW i8 playing gooseberry to Audi R8’s vs yep…some Porsche 911’s, and the 2nd week was A800 Porsches too.

I’ll run the GT-R’s today but there’s not a single one I know to be a properly good S1 car.

I won’t be running any 911’s as I’m tired of them, I’ll re-post their results from that aforementioned Trial on Reservorio…

S1 Porsche 911 (Reservorio Sprint)

GT3 RS 4.0 '12 (SeeyeahBoss) - 1:57.601
GT3 R '23 (TheDannny ā€˜V1.1’) - 1:58.785
GT3 '21 (VNX Letz) - 1:59.002
GT3 R '18 (K1Z Bard) - 1:59.078
GT3 RS '19 (Gattzuh1) - 1:59.486
GT2 RS '18 (OnlyNaps) - 1:59.545
GT3 RS '23 (zombiejesus52) - 1:59.762
Carrera S '19 (Nalak28) - 1:59.770
Turbo S '14 (xiaoyuge233) - 1:59.820
#92 RSR (VNX Letz) - 2:00.546

Unless a GT-R massively surprises me once again I’d recommend Dannny’s GT3 R '23.

No worries on the RA one you just followed the logic, I don’t know why the thumbnail features the 8 Litre when there’s several Rare Classics that start in the class the SC actually is.

At least it makes recommending a tune very easy…

300SL with Rocklxd’s tune.

Pk thank you

:man_shrugging: including the two 911’s I ran originally…

GT-R Black Ed. (TGM) - 2:00.053
911 GT3 RS 4.0 '12 (Seeyeahboss) - 2:00.621
GT-R Nismo '20 (Seeyeahboss ā€˜Toy’) - 2:00.921
GT-R '17 (Nalak28) - 2:01.355
911 Turbo S '23 (K1Z Bard ā€˜More Power’) - 2:02.506
GT-R LM (TGM) - 2:02.623

I don’t think my GT-R is worth sharing but I’ll probably use it, if anyone wants to make their own it’s basically a maxed out build on Rallies minus exhaust, brakes and roll cage.

Can only apologise for all the palaver over the restrictions this series, and unfortunately it’s likely to happen again in the final season, all the thumbnails have been very ambiguous.
