I had a FPS problem recently my game run at 15 FPS, the benchmark said CPU simulation : 15 FPS while GPU can make 30 FPS+.
I tried to kill some process and when i kill The process called “Runtime Broker” children of Forza, My FPS UP to 30 ! (max for my 4K screen)
So i deactivated Runtime Broker Service at start of Windows but if i do that, i can’t synchronize when i launch the game. It loading for eternity or say Synchronisation : 0%. So i must reactivate Runtime Broker, start the game and kill the process after launch.
Anyone have this problem ? (Try to do it and see if you get more FPS)
How can i resolve it without needing to kill this process every time i play ?
This problem wasn’t here when i installed the game but recently it make my CPU limited to 15 FPS, i don’t know why…
What is strange is that, the CPU/Memory usage of Runtime Broker is normal. There is no visible problem when we open task manager. That’s like the Runtime was a door to a Forza exploit, maybe Bitscoin mining ? Something that limiting CPU usage remember me some malwares that mining bitscoins but i hope it’s another problem.
But if it’s bitscoin miner, my CPU/GPU would be always 100% usage and it’s not ! look at CPU/GPU usage here :
When driving GPU always stay under 30%, CPU always stay under 50% !
FPS is 18 here because i stop, it’s 15 if i drive.
So the FPS limitation look like a bug. I think it appeared while i had PC optimisation. How can the game can make me a new PC optimization ?
I want to control what MS do on my computer but since WIndows10, my computer do what it want when it want… like that optimization while i didn’t do anything, no updates, why it optimize and limit my FPS to 15 ? i don’t know but i would like them to retry their optimization because something is wrong.
Ok, my problem has been resolved by changing HDMI to Display Port.
I don’t knw why but probably Runtime Broker don’t like HDMI 1.4
Now i can play 4k@40-60 fps in low graphics but’s better in 2K for my old configuration. I need to buy a 580x.
My new probley with Display Port and a 4k samsung monitor is that i have sometimes black screen because my screen search source. I put it in manual mode but it do it again.
I’ll try to install another driver.
why would you elect to run at 4k with low graphics settings when you could run the game at ultra @ 1080p or even medium/high at 2k. Seems counter-intuitive .
Because 4K in low graphics is better for eyes than 1080p for sure.
I can’t play any games in 1080p since i tried playing in 4K. It’s like in years 2000, when i was playing in 640x480, i tried 800x600 and i couldn’t play anymore on 640x480. And i discovered 1080p and impossible to play under after that. Know 4K killed 1080p. I can’t play 1080p anymore, even in ultra, i prefer 4k in low graphics than 1080p in ultra or extrem.
Maybe it’s because i’m on a 28" screen ?
I don’t know… But actually i play in 2444p because it’s ok, good FPS for my old 280X. Wainting for 580X to play higher resolution.
