It seems as though when you race online it does not update your Rivals time. You can only post a Rivals time when you race Rivals. I know in previous Forza when you raced online in the multi-hopper lobbies., the times you posted there would update on the Rivals leaderboard. Is this something thats coming back , if anyone knows.
That hasn’t been the case since Forza 6. Multiplayer race times don’t go on the leaderboard. Drafting could affect the time so it doesn’t count for the LB. I see no reason why they would go back to that.
Laptimes during Career, ‘Free-play’, Multiplayer Race & Mulitplayer Practice will never be added to Rivals. Yes previous Forza had, but not on this.
The reason for this is because, Rivals mode is locked with 50% track grip, and 100% Fuel Load. Career races comes with 50+ evolving track grip, Multiplayer Practice and Qualifying comes with 100% track grip, Multiplayer race(featured Multiplayer) comes with 120% track grip. This is why times posted in qualifying with Soft tyres are slower than times you get during a featured multiplayer race with Soft tyre.
Due to these anomaly, times during races are not counted. Previous forza did count race times, but if there’s any sort of slipstream(drafting), laptimes would get dirty, albeit added to leaderboards.
I know early on in the game, MP rubber was way higher than what you could get in freeplay and private lobbies. Something was changed, because that gap has closed as i could sourish my mp tunes in very long private races, but still can’t quite match them.
As far as I remember only the homlogated lobby times went on to separate boards which you could only see in free play. I don’t believe standard multiplayer lobby times went on to the boards . I remember them saying rivals had to be done in rivals.
Because theyre trying to portray track evolution. The more cars drive around a track the more heat and rubber they leave making it faster. Theres also different times of day that give more grip than others. So for instance if qualifying was held in the morning and the race was in the afternoon, the track would have more grip during the race because the temperature would be higher.
