Rivals Help

Hi

I went into Rivals for the first time today.

One question I have is - how long are the events? I drove 5 laps and then quit and it remembered my lap time etc.

Thanks

Ken

Rivals are just timed laps, you can make them last as long as you want.

Thanks

The minimum number of laps is 1. I usually do 2 laps and then quit if I am satisfied with my time. Some players will do more. I suppose it depends how serious you are about the challenge and if you want to set a really good lap time.

I have another question about Rivals. I am trying to make some sense about how the Rivals Leaderboards work. In some cases for Rivals there are certain Restrictions for the car used. When you select the car there are numbers for power, PI etc for what the car is tuned to and max numbers. There are also some other restrictions for the event, like No Friction assist, depending on which event you choose. In some cases the event restrictions are pretty open. If you check the leaderboard after running an event there are sometimes a wide variation of PI numbers. For example the event with the FE/Rally version of the Ford Focus which is around 525 PI has cars on the leaderboard tuned up to almost 900 PI. When I try to load one of these tunes and run the same event it says I have an Illegal car and won’t let me use it. So are the Rivals leaderboards just not able to filter out these cars ? Is there some other way to enable these tunes ? Is there some other logical reason for this ?

It’s a bug, which annoyingly wasn’t fixed in this month’s update. The tunes are legal for the event, you have to leave the event, apply the tune, then go back into the event.

Thanks - I will give that a try.
