I used the “vote to kick” option on a guy the other night. I am pretty slow, so from the back of the pack could see he was intentionally running up beside other racers, swerving into them on the straights and wrecking them. After the race at the lobby, I confronted him on it and then did the vote to kick option. He was gone in a flash.
I did do that. This was an A class lobby so all the cars of “normal” drivers were 700. And there was a group of people all driving white jaguars at 640. Initially there were four of them. After the first race I voted to kick them when I realized what they were doing. It didn’t seem to work though. I played around 5 races and they were there the whole time. Which is why I saved that replay.
Somehow I don’t think PET would care about drivers crashing people in FM6, it’s not like they’re being abusive on comms or using glitches. They’d care much more about CoD bros who constantly throw around homophobic and racist slurs and use map glitches.
Really it’d just be nice if drivers would automatically be kicked from the race if they drive the wrong way for more than 15 seconds (cumulative) or stay still for more than 30 seconds (cumulative).
Report them for what ? For playing a game that has no penalty for driving recklessly ? They haven’t done anything wrong beside having a lack of judgement. Play with friend or like minded racers and let them be. I think I am good drivers but it happen in the heat of a moment where I miss my breaking point and hit someone. When you report someone in FM6 or from the Friends app in XB1, does it share your gamertag with the offending party? I would hope that it would be anonymous (to them), and then the Policy Enforcement Team conducts a fair investigation by silently joining their future online sessions and observing whether they are a repeat offender. Otherwise there could be unjust retaliation if your gamertag is revealed, in which case there’s no point to reporting anyone. Just checking…
They’re not going to ban people from Xbox live for not driving perfectly. There are a lot of new drivers playing to so please don’t report the entire grid, thanks. If somebody gets enough reports their rep goes down. Reporting is also used by haters to downvote somebody for being too good.
Microsoft isn’t paying anybody to review your very important video evidence, sorry kids.
Oh and using stars to cover up bad language is reportable and against the forum rules.
I feel your pain. I need to find some people who want to race properly. I’ve accidentally misjudged braking distance into a corner on occasion and scraped the bumper of the car in front whilst trying to make a clean pass, but some of these guys in the public lobbies take the mick.
If anyone wants to race against me cleanly, add me on XBox Live at deanince.
Some of you are missing the point he isn’t taking about noobs that are just making mistakes missing braking points or whatever.
The problem are the trolls that get in the lobby for one reason to wreck and ruin our races. They aren’t there to race they just want to crash peeps. Report them it works and it only takes a few seconds of your time.
He may very well be but it really doesn’t come off that way and many of the replies, like A BEARDYWEIRDY, sure seem to support it not being the case as well.
Everyone in this thread talks as if they are the Sig’s digital cousin. It’s one thing to report a player who is intentionally trolling the entire race field by driving backwards, standing sideways in the middle of a tight turn, etc. It’s another thing to report a player who’s driver skill is below yours. The former is 100% justified while the latter is complete bull and sounds like a whiny kid who cries to his momma after failing to catch a ball thrown in his direction, telling her he was hit on purpose.
First off, the game is still fresh. People are still adjusting their styles to the new driving mechanics. When brakes are going into full lock at only 85% applied it’s going to be a long period of adjustment. Who’s to say the said player isn’t having a bad internet night? The solution is to make friends who are of your skill level, form teams, create private races, etc. It’s not T10 nor your decision to make a judgement to ban players because they aren’t up to a certain skill level, especially when career mode is training that type of driving style. Reading this thread makes me come to the conclusion that most of you would report me. I have a [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] internet connection, sometimes I’m a hair late braking and clip someones rear into a spin or sometimes my fat fingers get over excited and I’ll slide right into the crowd. I’ve been known to be a little to eager with the accelerator on exit and have my back end step out into someones door. Nothing I do is intentional but I guarantee you I would not be appreciative if I got banned for simply playing the game. What I find hilarious is there was so much rejoicing when the announcement of 24 car fields were coming for FM6 where as the first thing that popped into my head was remembering how many threads like this existed throughout FM5s lifespan and knowing that adding ~40% more cars to the track was going to make it worse.
I’m all for banning people who intentionally grief but most of the replies in this thread make me realize what a horrible, elitist community Forza has. The irony about all this is Forza isn’t anywhere close to simulation, yet in games where you would think this elitist mentality would reign supreme such as rFactor or iRacing, it doesn’t. At least not on the scale it does here
This is pretty much why I will probably never race FM6 online.
I ran a couple of online races in FM5 but I didn’t take long to get tired of getting taken out every time I went into a turn. Not to mention the races were I saw cars literally hopping down (and through) the track.
Luckily, I think there is more than enough in career mode and rivals to keep me entertained and challenged for a long time.
This is your best course of action. I do this every time I get in with people that are crashing on purpose. Upload with just a non damaging title. This way if the FM4 type thing is used for reporting this kind of stuff its already in the system
This has always been an issue and I think the best way to deal with this is to find a good group to run with that all have respect for the game. I found a league with a weekly race at http://www.teamdmrint.webs.com/ and have been running with them since Forza 3. The other issue is the game just released so everyone is still going through the learning process for the new car handling physics. I think the easiest rule is if you make a mistake in braking or turning and hit someone hard enough to take them out, just go to the side and wait for them to rejoin and get back behind them, says alot about your character. Would be cool if a game could have a car under review option during the race that penalizes the offending player, but that would rely on observers to represent Race Control or something like that. Maybe a group of podcasters or pro announcers would like to call a race and act as race control and upload to youtube…who knows.
Erm I’ve got a couple… EVERYONE I’VE PLAYED AGAINST SO FAR! Why do I keep getting put in lobby’s with first corner blitzers! And hairpin t-boners! I can’t do a single race without getting put to the back of the pack. If anyone wants to add me so I can get in some clean lobbies please do so. I’ve lost my patience a few times already with the idiots I’m out against.
