I have noticed that there are many cars grouped in a division together which should not be in the same division as they are based on different homologation rules in nearly every racing car division in the game. The most of this is happening in the Forza GTdivision currently. I did some research about the most cars I suspected to be in the wrong division and made a big list with new divisions and changes to the divisions that already exist. I hope the devs listen and make some changes
-Vintage Le Mans sportscars
I have removed the the 1961 Jaguar E-type and added it to Sportcoupe Icons as it’s the road going 3,8l version and not the E-type lightweight which was the only E-type that actually raced at Le Mans
I added the 550 spyder which was in Sportscoupe Icons before, because it raced in Le Mans for some years and was primarily used for on track racing.
The rest of the division stays the same
-Vintage Le Mans Prototypes
I removed the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra and the 1965 Lotus #1 Team Lotus Type 40 and added them to Prototype racing because they primarily raced in the can am series and the can am cars are all in the Prototype racing division.
The rest of the division stays the same
-Modern Factory Racecars
I added the 2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 in this category, because it doesn’t fit the forza gt division at all with it’s way too high PI and the 2017 Saleen S7 LM from Modern Exotic GT.
The rest of the division stays the same
-GTX Sportscars (Group 5)
I put all cars which are based on the group 5 rules in this category, because the GTX category in Imsa was based on the group 5 rules. These cars include:
•1976 Chevrolet #76 Greenwood Corvette
•1975 BMW #25 BMW Motorsport 3.0 CSL
•1979 Datsun #33 280ZX Turbo
•1979 BMW #6 BMW Motorsport M1 Procar
•1981 Ford #2 Zakspeed Racing Capri Turbo
•1982 Ferrari #72 N.A.R.T. 512 BB/LM
•1982 Ford #6 Zakspeed Roush Mustang IMSA GT
•1983 Nissan #23 Nissan Motorsports Silivia Super Silhouette
•1984 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette
•1984 Nissan #20 Bluebird Super Silhouette
-GTO Sportscars
I put all cars in this division which raced under Imsa GTO regulations. The GTO regulations were relatively simimar to group 5 and GTX at the start but evolved more and more into it’s own category, which is why I would make a new division for them. These cars include:
-1986 Merkur #11 MAC Tools XR4Ti
-1989 Audi #4 Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO
-1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7
-1991 Ford #15 Roush Racing Whistler Mustang
-1991 Mazda #62 RX-7
-Early TA
A new class for all the classic Trans Am cars that raced in the Trans Am category. These cars include:
-1985 Buick #6 Performance Motorsports Somerset Regal Trans Am
-1988 Nissan #33 Bob Sharp Racing 300ZX
-1990 Oldsmobile #75 Cutlass Supreme Trans Am
-Forza TC
Remove the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior as it has no place in this division at all and add it it to Forza specials or give it an own spec series (Ginetta Cup)
-Forza Proto-H
Remove Dpi’s, because this division should only be for lmdh/lmh cars of which there will probably be more cars added. The Dpi’s have no business being in this category
-Forza P2
Remove the DP’s, because they do not have the PI of the Lmp2’s and are based on different rules
-Forza DP
A new division for the Dpi’s that would be removed from the Proto-H division. These cars include:
-2021 Cadillac #31 Whelen Racing DPi-V.R
-2020 Acura #6 ARX-05 DPi
-Early Forza DP
A new divison for the DP’s removed from the P2 division. These cars include:
-2015 Chevrolet #10 Konica Minolta Corvette Daytona Prptotype
-2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley MK XXVI Daytona Prototype
Forza GT Endurance
The division currently named GT2 will have the name GT Endurance, because GTE is literally the short form of that name and because GTE cars were mostly used for endurance racing in contrast to GT3 cars which are also used for sprint races. These cars include:
-2020 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing C8.R
-2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE
-2018 Aston Martin #97 AMR Vantage GTE
-2018 BMW #1 BMW M Motorsport M8 GTE
-2017 BMW #24 BMW Team RLL M6 GTLM
-2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR
-2016 Ford #66 Ford Racing GT Le Mans
-2015 Porsche #91 Porsche Team Manthey 991 RSR
-2014 Dodge #93 SRT Motorsports Viper GTS-R
-2014 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R
-2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia GTC
-GT3
The new division for GT3 cars like we already have it in the Multiplayer GT3 Spec Series which a few changes to the car list. These cars include:
-2014 Bentley #17 M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3
-2015 Cadillac #3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R
-2017 Aston Martin #7 Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3
-2018 Porsche #73 Park Place Motorsports 911 GT3 R
-2018 Mercedes-AMG GT3
-2018 Acura #36 NSX GT3
-2018 Audi #44 R8 LMS GT3
-2019 McLaren #03 720S GT3
-2020 Lexus #14 VASSER SULLIVAN RC F GT3
-GT4
The new division for GT4 cars. These cars include:
-2016 Audi #17 Rotek Racing TT RS
-2018 KTM X-Bow GT4
-2019 Ginetta G55 GT4
-Forza TA
The new division for Trans Am cars. Finally separated from the rest in their own division. These cars include:
-2018 Cadillac #57 TA CTS-V
-2018 Ford #98 Breathless Pro Racing TA Mustang
-2018 Chevrolet #23 Ruman Racing TA Corvette
-2019 Dodge #9 American V8 Road Racing TA Challenger
-Forza V8 or Forza Supercars
The new division for cars based on the homologation rules of the Australian V8 Supercars Series. Also finally in their own division. These cars include:
-2017 Nissan Altima Racecar
-2017 Ford #17 Shell V-Power Racing Team Falcon FG X
-2017 Holden #22 Walkinshaw Performance VF Commodore
-Forza GT2
The new division for cars based on the regulations of the SRO GT2 class. These cars include:
-2015 Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo
-2017 Ferrari #25 Corse Clienti 488 Challenge
-2018 Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracán Super Trofeo Evo
-2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935
-2020 KTM X-Bow GT2
The 488 challenge and the super trofeo already raced in this class with some little modifications in real life. Another option would be that the super trofeo lambos and the 488 challenge get their own spec series like in real life. The rotek racing Audi TT fits not really in a category currently bevause it wasn’t build according to specific rules like GT4 or GT3. It put it in the GT4 division as a solution. Another solution would be to do without the new GT2 division and to just put the leftover cars that are not in the new categories in the now empty Forza GT division.
Overall I want the devs to implement these new divisions in single player too and not only in featured multiplayer like it’s currently done. I also hope that they add some more cars to the divisions that have not many cars at the moment like GT2, GT4, Proto-H, Forza DP and early Forza DP to fill them up properly
