Whst bloody gives a small update that installation stopped now I have to install the whole game again what the hell is up with this that’s the second time this has happened has it happened anyone else recently

Not a game issue
It’s an xbox store issue
Will happen with any xbox game if you cancel an update for some stupid reason
Blame Microsoft
The point is I didn’t CANCEL IT it stopped the installation of the update itself for what reason I dont know
its still a xbox/Microsoft issue
what setting do you have you xbox on…instant on and download updates while off ???
This has long been an issue and microsoft have known about it since the windows 10 insider build. It was reported by loads of us and it still is a problem.
There is some issue with window store where the system loses ownership info for any random directories and it then can’t find permission to write to those folders. So it doesn’t, it just sits their looping.
Blame Microsoft. Also blame the office team if anyone as they wanted everything locked down way before they started selling games on there. So now we have this.
I currently have 11 programs including Horizon 4 which refuse to update.
All you can do is attempt to retake ownership and reset the store cache afterwards to try and fix it!
If you’re on Xbox then try a hard reset!
