See, Uncle, that’s why you are wrong. Internet forums are for communication. And through communication, we as a customer can give feedback to T10 about thing that can be changed/improved. That’s why it’s called FEEDBACK!
That is kind the only way to make things better.
And of course we are going to buy it, cause it’s probably going to be a good game. It’s just that some people expected more and that fact doesn’t make their opinion less valuable than yours.
I am not bashing anyone who has an opinion or feedback about the demo or the game. I am pointing out that if you take the time to come onto the internet and complain about it then you have a vested interest into the game and are going to be buying it anyway like you said. The people who have been flooding this board since the demo came out saying well I canceled my preorder are either gonna still buy it anyway or were never invested into the game to begin with and have too much time on their hands.
I’ve been pretty impressed so far and really surprised on why the decided to undersell it, or did they just think the 4K 60 7000 numbers would have us not caring about owt else. Lots of nice little improvements that I thought weren’t in the game.
Forza’s fantasy tracks have never been as good as GT’s, you could imagine the WEC or F1 around Grand Valley or Apricot Hill. Ever since Forza 4, the fantasy tracks have been less about great gameplay and more about showing off at E3 and the demo, its the reason a real track or a realistic fantasy track will never feature as the E3 show off track as they don’t have the visuals as a major city. Plus the layouts play second fiddle to the backdrop and the Alps, Prague, Rio and Dubai are just slight curve after slight curve and just a waste of a track.
However. that stuff doesn’t bother me that much, the fact the Gallardo SL rear wing is still wrong and the Volvo that had its rear lights broken in a FH3 CU is still broken annoys me, they have fixed the Clio Williams tail lights though and are back to the way they were in FH2.
I read somewhere (no idea if true or from where that info came) that Ultimate Edition Preorder buyers on PC can preload the game at the 25.9.
And that you got billed is not really surprising…in the mail for the order (from the MS Store) it is stated that they charge at least 10 days prior to release when stuff gets preorderd
I Don’t like the how the vehicles collide. Its arcade-ish and comparable to Horizon 3. In FM6 when you hit something or another driver the noise and car reactions were more sophisticated and realistic. Otherwise amazing all around.
I made a post why I was considering skipping FM7 and voiced my reasons for disappointment. But T10 doesn’t like suggestion so it was removed. I’m certainly will not pick up FM7, they are being way to hush about the details and it’s really discouraging. I mean 180 steering, one “new” track, recycled cars, not all track are dynamic or have time of day, ridiculous shaky cam, no wheel calibration, no details on new physics model. I’ve been playing Forza since day one, never have I been so disappointed on the lack of details regarding a future release. Nothing but PR bull, you expect me to be excited for a clown racing suit? [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D], T10 has forgotten what separates Motorsport from Horizon. They need to listen to their loyal fan base that is losing faith in the franchise.
I don’t understand people who make a big deal and post on forums about how they aren’t going to buy the game of the forum they are posting on. If you aren’t gonna buy it, fair enough, don’t, but then complain about how a developer doesn’t listen to players, and suddenly expects them to pay attention because you have said you aren’t buying it? Don’t buy it, buy something else, and if enough people don’t buy it, maybe developers will take note after sales drop, but posting on forums how you aren’t buying it just makes you look like a whiny child.
Posting on the forums the reasons why you aren’t buying it is rather useful feedback for a company, if they bother to read it. If they can see why their sales are dropping, they can try and fix that either in an update, or a future title.
Number 2 I totally stand beside you with, the game is gold and has been gold for some time, there’s no reason for them not to have a preload available by now.
But 1, 3 and 4 all seem incredibly opinionated and/or plain petty. You don’t like Dubai - fair enough, but you probably won’t be racing at any one track that often anyway, so that’s hardly gamebreaking. Free car for playing the demo? Really couldn’t care less. Loyalty rewards? Again, does this really matter that much? Even by Horizon 3’s economy there was never any difficulty in acquiring cars. You’ll have everything you care to drive and then some before you know it.
So yeah highly disappointed not all tracks can run night or rain just saw it in some gameplay footage when selecting the location a small sun icon or weather icon appears what is at that track for example long beach can only be played in the daylight and no weather… I feel like we were lied to about forza 7 dynamic features because I’m sure long beach is not the only location that doesn’t have the feature totally disappointed now as Bathurst will now be 100% no weather I’m not sold truely very lazy and it will be the last time I will be pre ordering a forza Motorsport title this is just utterly disappointing to see… all the hype and talk about each time u return it’s different yeah right only on some of the tracks in the game… you forgot to mention that! Forza 7 is looking more and more a unfinished game and was rushed from Day 1 and is now just looking like a show tech example for the X.
I truly don’t understand how Forza/Turn 10 released this Demo or even how they will be launching this game next month without even having an Open Alpha/Beta at all. So stupid. This is what happens when you don’t.
That’s the reason why I don’t even bother with Forza on PC. I haven’t bought 1 Forza game on PC yet, it’s a laughing stock.
How can people be disappointed on a demo with only three tracks and three cars? I honestly don’t understand… And canceling a pre-order because you didn’t like one track? LOL!! That track will be a game-breaker I’m guessing?
Anyway. I love the game. Forza never disappoints. But there are a few things that did concern me:
A.I is still as terrible as ever. Although it doesn’t try to kill you like in FH3. But yeah. It’s bad. Seems partially unaware of your presence, will P.I.T you, push you off the track to regain their racing line, despite you’ve cleanly overtaken them. The will brake too hard. And so on.
No option to turn off cosmetic damage. this was finally added on FH3, but now it is gone again.
Heavy stuttering on menu. with more than capable hardware.
First incorrect sound: the Merc Truck sounds like a V8. It has a 6-cylinder if I’m not mistaken.
Had one crash a-la Horizon 3. Just racing and suddenly… crash.
All these things can be polished, so I am not worried at all. Forza Horizon 3 was a great exercise of optimization for this game to work perfectly on the platform that it was designed for. Win 10.
Demos are there for you to get a feel of the game, yes that track can be a deal breaker since its the only new track being added into the game, sounds have gone down hill since Forza 5 and many have complained since, its pointless even mentioning it because it mostly won’t be fixed until the sequel.
The track is not the best, I admit, but it won’t break the deal for me. Forza still does what my former passion for over 15 years (Gran Turismo) decided to walk away from a long time ago. I just like this game because it focuses on what I am interested, which is cars. It does it in a better way than any other game out there. Sims are fine every now and then, but lack the content I personally prefer. And games like NFS, or smaller franchises like Grid and what not, simply don’t do it for me.
Again. My personal opinion. I saw someone saying that this game is aimed at teens and that mature adults only play sims, but I disagree. this game is for car enthusiasts. And that’s all I need.
Well some time ago DEMOS were game advertisements, they actually were made better than actual game, short and packed experience that pumps you up to get the game. My only concern about forza is AI, as seems physics are now better than FM6. And fact that they cant implement simple flag system is sad. Old games even had that.
