Great RVM this week again! What an exciting finish to the V8 Supercars race 2. That’s what I love to see is good hard, clean racing. If this is what the season has in store for the fans, it’s going to be a very exciting season.

I can’t wait to start laying down some times in the new rivals and seeing you behind me, John. And on a final note, I would share RVM with a friend who doesn’t know about it, but mostly all the friends I have that are on Forza, I met on the forums. See you on the leaderboards!

I’ve started forwarding these to my friend, because he’s been trying for ages to unicorns, and is trying to keep up with me on the circuit. The 500 series are amazing, in Japan and Europe, getting to see the different manufacturers and drivers racing each other is phenomenal. Here’s hoping that more people come out to support the fray, and turn it into the ludicrous mad-dash that old BTCC races were. That crash was brutal, but thankfully the safety measures that’ve been developed over the last couple decades have allowed a serious drop off in fatalities while making us go even faster. Hooray Science!

My thanks to NewAgeJedi for showing me this. Its is always interesting to see races from start to finish. Especially the ones that have major accidents during the race.
Also the crowds seem to let the drivers know who their favorites are. The racers(at least some of them) race for the fun of it and like to enjoy them selves on the track. Losing sucks but enjoying the race is something that you can do all the time.

Not only did I turn my buddy on to RVM, I also showed him Forza Rewards. His Gamertag is JBowsky12 and he would love a 2008 Lamborghini Reventón for Forza 5.

Thanks,

Thanks again for the opportunity to read such excellent topics. The new rivals should be oh so exciting. V8 super cars . Love the smell of burning rubber and the sound of 1000 horses screaming. Nothing like it!

Great RVM this week, John! It’s cool to hear you helping out a stranded motorist during 5 o’clock traffic (the worst time to have car troubles), kind of a shame of what happened to the Tesla since it was stated that if the battery was discharged, it would a brick and cost $40,000 to replace the battery! The Phoenix NSCS race was great to watch, proud of Dale Jr’s run and Kevin Harvick’s first win of the season and first win for SHR, this season is starting to look really good. I’m looking forward to the FM5 rivals and the Civic Challenge next week!

Good deed of the day…check!! i have been that person before in my old vw polo, just died in heavy traffic and the guy in the car behind the guy in the car with me and some guy walking all quick jumped behind me to bump it back to life, its people like this that give you faith back in humanity.

I love watching LeMans, i stay up most of the day to watch it, that video was very good telling everybody that Ferrari was not untouchable back in the day. Its about time Shelby came back to LeMans!

That was some good racing, close and fast and gave each other just the rite amount of room too, and on the last corner no wonder he was not happy with 3rd. there as been times racing on forza where i have had races like that, its the sort of thing that keeps you awake.
That crash was brutal just kind of came from nowhere, a bit of a tap to a two wheeled drift and the second he hit the kerb you just know what was going to happen.

i had a play on the rivals last nite, on racing pass and this is England -

  • racing pass in one of hardest traffic rivals up to date fast wide cars on the narrow roads of Sebring after about 20 laps i pushed a fast clean lap.
  • This in England, i am not a massive fan of the atom i just could not get my tune rite getting understeer on most corners pushing a clean 2.08, so i gave up and got a downloaded a tune (first time yet) and it was better and got a clean 2.03…credit to worm on the turn, you made that car go from bad and hated to yeah its ok i can play in this now.

Thanks for the RVM john see you in the leaderboards!!

MAN, that Volvo is fast! I am really surprised considering the fact that Ford and Holden have completely dominated V8 Supercars for years. What an intense battle. That crash was pretty crazy, too. That’s like one of the ridiculous crashes people get in Forza. I can’t believe it has already been 50 years of Le Mans. What a cool video, it really shows what Shelby was up against. All he really had was a small squadron , while Enzo had an entire army and then some. Amazing that he actually won. Awesome read john.

Ugh, I hate how most of my friends play sports games 90% of the time. And they then play Battlefield the other 10% of the time.
I would like to tell someone about RVM, but I have no-one to tell!

I also hate living in Britain, and not being able to watch most of the main motorsport events on my TV

Ah well. It’s pankcake day. WHOOP WHOOP!

Not really bothered tbh, anything in FM5, that is if you want to be nice to someone who constantly suffers the pains of living in Britain

How about an “at’ a boy” for helping a fellow motorist. The car had to be pretty heavy with all the batteries in the back.
Great to see a new team taking it to Red Bull. It is never fun watching the same team win over and over again. Good for the Volvo driver for holding his line and making the Red Bull pass him.
That was a spectacular wreck on the restart. It reminded me alot of the racing on Forza!
As always, good stuff!!

Jhon its nice to see some helpful people around, I only pushed some rally cars out of the ditch :). I never forget when I overturned my car to its side and every one stopped to check me, it was not a big deal but it was great to feel the care. All in all we need to be helpful. It was a great RVM again, Thank you.

Another great RVM read! Its nice to see some coverage of the V8 Supercars series. I remember the first time I saw a V8 race - it was a couple years ago and I caught Speed Channel’s live coverage of the Bathurst 1000. I remember seeing a handful of commercials leading up to the event, and Speed was hyping up the fact that they had Darrell Waltrip and some of their other NASCAR broadcast team on announcer duties for the race, I guess to draw in curious fans. I was more interested in the fact that this was supposed to be Australia’s answer to the Daytona 500 - the biggest race on the calendar… but with actual stock cars AND right -hand turns. About 20 minutes into the race I was hooked. I personally think road-track racing is much more competitive and exciting than super speedway racing and the V8 series delivers. One of my favorite things to do in FM 4 is whip around any one of the road course layouts in Jamie Whincup’s 888 Racing Vodafone Commodore. Good fun. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season shakes out, especially for the new teams. If last year was any indication, some of the newer teams like Volvo Polestar may struggle mightily at the start - Erebus was woeful throughout the start of the calendar but then they got their Mercedes lapping respectably towards the end of the season. Hopefully these new entrants will continue to push innovation in the Series for seasons to come.

The friend I introduced to RVM is my longtime forza buddy and car club member Klemenz. We’ve raced quite a bit over the years, from the original FM on Xbox all the way through FM4 and Horizon on the X360.
