Bathurst used to be one of my least favorite tracks until I watched the final battle between Craig Lowndes and Maxi Buhk during the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 hour endurance race. Watching those two fight through traffic on that narrow track up and down the mountain had me holding tight onto my chair; what a spectacle! Also, how about those cockpit views of Shane van Gisbergen piloting the McLaren MP4-12C up the mountain into the sun! It reminded me of how real the track at Bathurst feels on FM5. I was simply amazed at how Shane was able to maintain his speed and find his way through the blinding light without losing control–Lord knows I’ve had to rewind once or twice after hitting a wall because of that bright Ausie sun.

Probably not that intelligent, but the scavenger hunt photos were great. I haven’t been up to that part of the country many times, but they remind me why I love it so much. Also, how is Burgermaster? Never heard of it, but the web site looks good. Will have to check it out next time.

Bathurst wow what a race, that’s what racing is about, close down to the finish line, different classes all racing together.

The Bathurs race was awesome, but man do I love me some rally events in the snow.
In fact, is snowing like there ain’t no tomorrow where I live. I’m tempted to go outside and put my car to the limit, although the experience is probably not worth the price of a totaled car.

Hello john, nice video Volkswagen of the Rally Sweden, beautiful atmosphere: people around the fire, the children who make snowmen, all smiling happy. This is the real rally. Of course, congratulations to Latvala and Mikkelsen, I am sad to Ogier, but he will be back in the next races, currently he consoles himself with the new jump record.
I really enjoyed your photos with the Land Cruiser, you are very funny, and the bikini barista is very sexy.
P.S. I offer my congratulations to Tiffany Labedz for skin iVTEC, very beautiful.
‘I challenge you to hit Bathurst Time-Trials in Forza Motorsport 5 in your best R-class build and post your time in the RVM thread. After five laps, I set a 2:10.621 with the McLaren MP4 12C with only ABS assist. That’s what Van Gisbergen ran with, and I am confounded with how fast his time is. On the FM5 Bathurst R-Class Time Trials leaderboard that puts Van Gisbergen at 1048 and johniwanna at 6311’
You do know that this means its now on…again!
It always good to see VW killing it at the WRC again,is the anything better than a snow drift with the tires sparking. The WRC VW Polo is a hell of a machine and i hope more wins to come for team VW.
I love the mugan CRX its so retro cool, and good for many things
The Bathurst 12h has been one of the best endurance races I’ve seen the last couple of months, maybe years. Now we just need the GT Cars in FM5 so we can do it the same way than van Gisbergen vs. Schneider or Buhk vs. Lowndes did. The Mclaren could’ve done way better if there would’ve been more drivers as sick as van Gisbergen on that car. I enjoyed the first 'till the last second of the race. Pure thrill! Unfortunately the Nissan Nismo GT-R GT3 had the terrible incident after 3hours.
Haha John your obsessively giving nature has me coming back week after week. Gives me something to look forward to! Thanks as always for sharing that great race coverage. I really love that Bathurst track, and man what a race! There were a couple of times where I was sure those guys were gonna hit each other. White knuckle stuff right there man.
Congrats on the third place finish my friend! Well done! Seems like it would be a lot of fun. I didn’t catch the race at Bathurst, but thanks to RVM, I can get a recap. Love it!
This week should be especially exciting for us Nascar fans though as Speedweeks starts and the Sprint Unlimited is Saturday night with Daytona Pole qualifying on Sunday. Should be a great week!
