A nice thing I would like to see are more " realistic " engine swap or conversion . Like for example The Mk4 Golf R32 with only One optional conversione as a v8 is not realistic . I would like to put a vr5 or a v5 from Audi instead. Same for mk3 , mk2 and mk1 Golf . Or maybe The chance to put a Diesel engine in all car for example a 1.9 tdi on a Audi rs4 or a Volkswagen Golf or having real engine optional for The car you choose for example a bmw e34 you can choose between 4-6 or 8 cylinder engine 520-525- 530-… . I would like to see allso new body part that change to a more normal version of The car ( like you did on Audi rs4 2012 that you can change it from an RS4 to a S4 and a normal A4 I think ), so I can have a normal Bmw E 30 or e36 instead of an M3 or a normal mk 5,4,3 Golf . Another cool feature would having possibilities to choose 2 or 4 door and a Saloon or estate version when The re is One in real Life. I allso would like to have possibility to change The color and trim of The interior like for example The crew 2 , having turn singnals and The map in The navigator system monitor like TDU and TDU2 , having more realistic behavior of The Ai and drivatar ( like in Midnight Club LA they drive normal unless you challenge them) .
Choose different rim allso from The make of The car for example I would like to have rims on my e39 m5 from The e34 m5 and so in for other car like having Audi RS4 03 on my 1995 Audi rs2 . I think theese things will improve The game so much.
Audi has never made any V5 engines, their 5 cylinders are always inline engines, all cylinders in a row behind each other.
Vw made a V5 ( VR5 ) engine ( a VR6 with 1 cylinder removed ) and that’s the only V5 engine ever put in a car.
Volvos 5 cylinder engines were also always inline engines.
A V engine has it’s cylinders like this : V
An inline engine like this : â– â– â– â– â–
Ya the amount of unrealistic builds is uncanny in this game… idk how 98% of these builds i come across even remotely says “realistic “ as a build… oh yeah my little mini cooper and v12… like what the heck is happening with these shenanigans… no mini anywhere ever told is pushing 1100hp… ok redact that cuz idk… but not being able to lay a feather on the throttle without spinning 347 times on spot isn’t fun nor entertaining lol. Ugggh kids these days
Sorry for that mistake I made about cylinder
would like to have more realistic engine like 4-6 cylinder and diesel for bmw e39 so I can make more realistic 530 535 4 cylinder for Audi rs4 rs2 and 4cylinder Vw golf and others cars
How is putting a v8 in a car not possible? They’ve succeeded with vw bug, mini coopers, some tiny smart car I forget the name, now Tesla’s . As a fabricator just about anything is possible. Granted I can’t see a v10,12,16 in a mini cooper or similar small car but I guess someone has a need for speed worse than me. And I’d be inclined to see it .
I like the customization in all cars and to not be stuck with an engine that doesn’t sound good to me. It’s a game why can’t we have a little enjoyment, the way we want it.
Like gt2 had to hack the crap out of that game to give cars wide tires, better upgrades or a different engine completely, aww can’t have down force well you can now, bigger tachometers and rev limits ect… stuff that could have been available from the beginning to make it more enjoyable. Instead of taking what they offered and not really enjoying it. It was nice to have a game save of both. Gran turismo coulda had way more customization back then for there racing fans…
I still voted for you.
the reason most of the swaps are not “realistic” is because no one has the money to source and build them, not because theyre not possible. if anyone had the ability to source any engine and any car and throw money at it until they worked, car culture in real life would be a lot more like that in game.
ive done this before with similar threads, but here are some engine swaps you might like to see before calling something “unrealistic”:
A twin-supercharged Jaguar XJS V12 (that could go up to 10 Liter displacement in the aftermarket, ive heard) in a Triumph Spitfire:
A Toyota Century V12 swapped MK2 Mazda MX5:
A Dodge Viper Viper V10 swapped Honda S2000:
Audi 4.2L V8 in to a VW Lupo:
27 Liter Rolls Royce Merlin (I think technically the N/A version called the Meteor) in a Ford Crown Victoria:
an 18 Liter V8 from WW2 in a jeep:
If you want to make “ridiculous power” actually ridiculous and unusable, you need to change the map, not restruct the player. in the last game the famously narrow british country roads were sometimes as wide as a main artery road in britain to make it easy for the player to drive their supercars. this incentivises engine swaps and power builds because in lower classes racing is agonisingly slow, and higher power builds are easily controlled and used to great effect. If you want these drag cars to be as limited in driving as they are in real life, stop making every corner flat out in anything without them.
