Ranked Open Drifting

Title says it all. Just add it.

Got my vote!! The world of drifting in Forza has been going down hill more and more and its upsetting. Mainland drift zones not being able to improve upon is already a big set back for competitive drifting and thats just one of many examples, we need something big in the drifting community to keep people involved. Ranked would make a lot of people happy (though it more than likely wont get implemented sadly)!

would be great, but game is kinda dead recently, + first they should separate awd and rwd in different categories to make it fair

Its honestly not even that big of a difference like 2-4 % difference in comparison to awd depending on how good you are. Though I would enjoy that alone for the rage messages I have gotten for using awd. Since then their wouldn’t be an excuse.

are you sure it is just 2-4 % difference? here is great example: 1st place - Decent Awd lap, 2nd place Awd easy mode, 3rd place - Decent RWD lap…

Yes I am 100 percent certain. Just drifters who are good at rwd drifting are hard to come by. Also very rarely are tunes people grab prepped for point based drifting. You can tell do to the stock tire compound (some stock tires compounds work but in general drags are still on top) as well as low hrsp. Its seriously only 2-4 percent. I could never get there as I dont drift rwd competitively unless its very slowly with tandems, but I know a ton of competitive drift communities, and learned alot from them. On average its only 2-4 percent when comparing the competitive drifters rwd vs awd.

Here is a propper RWD version of Cathedral by a competitive rwd drifter. Shoutout to @Barry_Sniff as he is a mad lad and is one of many extremely skilled drifters… The video is fairly old too so I am sure it has improved much more sense then. 5:52 for the Cathedral run.

Also I just noticed in your video you are up against two extremely competitive drifters. Who more than likely have more time in a single car than you do your entire gametime (CDF, Bhz, Jack which I didnt know he switched clubs, GFD and many many more for example). I don’t want to sound rude but its the reality of it. These people only drift and have been drifting for ages. One of the BHz members for example, Bhz No Skillz was ranked #1 in Forza Horizon 4 Ranked Drifting for quite some time. I know a certain Isetta user for example with 65 days in gametime in that car alone in FH5. I have like 32 days of game time overall. These are not your average players by any means… 505 on cathedral is actually really close to the world record for the track

In the CDF example, this is their spread for their club for Cathedral S1 (AWD)

This goes all the way down to 432k … my point is if you are competitive enough you will get around a 2-4 percent difference amongst the average competitive drifter. Unless you run into people going for awd leaderboard scores like you did with jack and Soulx

Comparing your score to two of a few of the best players (I think Jack may even have a few wrs on some of the tracks) to make a statement about awd vs rwd isnt exactly fair. Also calling it a “decent” awd lap was a severe understatement. To score scores like that took alot of dedication, studying lines and hard work.

well tandem drifting is all i’ve done since fh3, so i have some exp in drift scene. Forza went downhill for slow tandem community in fh5, and most of the people left the game. Cruising and open drifing is the only thing that i do nowdays. Im not that hardcore like i used to be, since you cant get doors in open drift… Top 10 Drifts Of The Week (2018 Week 17) High Speed Rain Wall Run | SLAPTrain - YouTube nr 2 shows the fun we used to have while drifting, my gt was different then, but i still have that clip in xbox profile.

100 percent agree drifting isnt like it used to be, I also used to just tandem from way back when as well. I also used to despise point drifters and awd drifters but I learned and met a ton of awesome people. The Slaptrain is pretty dope, though tandeming is typically low hrsp cars not designed to push points. I do miss the tandem days, but I will prob never get back into comp tandems as it just got so intense I lost most of my enjoyment through it.

Fh5 lost so many famous drifters though. in general. Regardless of tandem or point drift community. Drift zones being unbeatable leaderboard wise, no ranked, convoy issues its just a mess at times.

Watching that vid is really taking me back big time

so true, just checked mountain drift zone top score… seems legit… overall i have to agree, ive tested drag tires drift build for rwd, it felt wrong so ive never dived deep into tuning it. But all i want is just Seperation for drivetrains, like we had in fh4, watching newbies in awd grinding walls, taking out every object in track just kills the vibe, and they allways have to be infront of you even if they leave after 1st lap

Honestly, I felt the same way until i learned these taps were intentional. Then learning them was actually extremely beneficial in order to climb leaderboards. Then again though thats probably due to vibing with full convoys of competitive drifters though. The props though I agree are very very annoying at times and can cause a catastrophic situation to a run. (Hot Dog Stands, Signs in Cathedral, and Electric posts in particular). I never said I didn’t disagree with yah about the rwd awd separation btw… its just its not as big as people tend to think.

talking about nostalgy, this was peak of good times i had in forza :frowning: Forza Horizon 3 golden days - YouTube

WE NEED RANKED OPEN DRIFTING

MORE TIME IN OPEN DRIFTING

RWD AND AWD separated

thanks and thats all

I use both when i drift and get a bit more when using awd, but there is a big difference in how you play, i would say rwd is mostly drifting and awd is mostly sliding.
