Quick pause button press. Slows you down a bit but saves you from a smash up.
Thanks
I think the bigger issue is that the matchmaker decides who you’re going to race against as soon as you’re in a lobby. There’s a reason why most of the more serious sims will group people based on qualifying times after you get into a practice lobby.
The only way the SBMM would work as they have it implemented would be in a game with a huge player count and lots of people matchmaking simultaneously. No matter how well this game does it’s not going to have anywhere near the numbers as games like COD or Halo, and sticking people into a lobby after 5 seconds is never going to work.
I totally agree.
It should be optional, who wants to play with collisions and who doesn’t.
I prefer there to be no collisions.
I just so badly want to verbally rant at the Turn 10 team. Get the lobbying sorted. Surely, by now, you have been able to average out those who don’t know what a race line is, what racing room is or what the @(^!
breaks are for.
I just came off the game and every single race was fully of rammers actively looking to take you out. It’s gotten so bad I don’t even qualify anymore because what’s the point? These idiots are just gonna pit you on turn 1 or 2 people suck.
This game will never be something, and devs clearly don t give a sh*t, period. Haven’t you heard ? They are happy because they got the award of the year for this “masterpiece”.
By the time they do the bare minimum in order to make this game playable AND enjoyable, AC2 will be out.
I’ve already rollback to Assetto Corsa Competizion, this is a 10 out of 10 racing game.
Its getting worse
Player count is dwindling. I remember multiple instances of me trying to back out and rejoin to get into a lobby with more than 5 people sometimes, and I’d just end up in the same lobby.
The Mazda spec lobby is just a poo show.
Too many people don’t know racing etiquette.
Rubbing is part of racing, but smashing isn’t, bashing through on the inside is not rubbing.
Coming in hot on the inside and smashing the outside off track should be a DQ, I’ve literally got a penalty for getting smashed off the track. Nothing for the other player, contact penalties need to be more aggressive,.
We need lobbies with aggressive penalties and damage on.
We need a working save replay and the option to submit it. So far as we don’t start to see some permaban things will not change. Almost all race some dude in the back line come full speed at the first turn just for the fun of smashing a couple of cars and ruin their race. The typical kids who think: I can’t win well I’ll ruin the fun for some people. I got some harsh chat with players who told me they just come in multiplayer to ram anyone. T10 should fight this toxicity in anyway avaible but so far they don’t care.
I had two guys squabbling in front of me, they hit each other so were slow coming out of a corner and i was a lot quicker so i went for the gap in the middle of them, they both turned in on me to stop me but both bounced off me, result was a 4 second penalty for me and zero penalty for them.
Problem with aggressive penalties and damage on is it will be the victim that ends up paying the price and not the instigators…
They should easily be able to work out who is causing the issues if they compare the impact direction to the direction of the racing line and your direction of travel. (So people who get rammed into someone else don’t get penalized.)
It’s too easy to pit maneuver people and get no penalty.
Definity, I can’t count the number of times of been spun out on a straight line about to cross the finish line.
Saving replays and submitting for review would be an amazing feature.
Today I had a very bad race with two intentional rammers. I did catch the replay. Is there anything else one can do other than reporting for unsportsmanlike behavior?
How did you caught the replay since replays don’t save ?
It was the first time I tried to save a replay and it saved straight away on my series x. I haven’t watched it yet, but it said “replay saved».
I can already tell you it’s not saved.
