Rain drops on screen

Please tell me there will be an option (just like Project Cars) to turn off the raindrops on the screen when using exterior view?

Update 9/11/15: Well, now that the game is released (at least for Ultimate Edition owners) there does not appear to be a way to turn the rain drops on the screen off under any of the option menus. Kind of bummed. Luckily there aren’t too many races in the rain and using interior view kind of helps the cheesiness of the effects.

Nothing in the options to turn it off in the demo at least. Might be an option in the final game. Just have to wait and see.

No joke, I can’t stand it. My eyes have issues with focusing as is, it really makes it difficult for me. I really enjoyed rain racing apart from that, hopefully it’s an option, I’m not getting my hopes up though.

I noticed in the demo there are no " hud" options at all, but im sure there will be in the full game.

Get in a car, start a race, hit the pause button, and bingo hud options

There is an option in photo mode, so here’s hoping we can do it in game aswell.

Not that it matters to me though.

I can see it being a issue with your sight for sure. I was pretty blinded for a bit on the track like you were driving through a massive tropical storm.

I can also see why it’s not on in ever track. It seems like they perfected these certain tracks for the condition. I

The rain in the demo and everything was madness! I loved it lol

I think it should stay on… cock pit drivers have to deal with rain and wiper blades.

yeah this is what I thought the whole point of the raindrops was- Add some kind of a challenge for those who drive in 3rd. (And I would assume there is a similar effect when driving a roofless car in 1st.)

If I am right, Turn 10 in trying to make it as life like as possible, so just like in NASCAR’s outside cameras, the lenses get wet. What would be cool is being able to push a button and the lens protective screen would slide to the right for a momentary clean screen until water is so bad you need to push again and so on. But I, and my wife, do not know how you can have a problem seeing through some small spots of water that move while driving and with the graphics so real you can see for what seems like at least a 1\4 or more. So either seat in the car with the wipers or deal with it.

Lol there are many other things they can do to make the game more realistic. This is just plain annoying. The cockpit seems like your sitting in the trunk of the car.

Obviously you don’t like racing in the rain, because that’s what happens in the rain, you will have your vision obscured by water droplets. That’s kind of half the reason racing in the ran is so scary. It’s a struggle just to see the road through all the water.

I hope they will add an option

From what I’ve heard and what’s available on the demo, it doesn’t look as if it’s an option to turn off the rain effects.

Please explain why, just because you have to magically float behind the car to drive it you should be excused the weather conditions. Man up, get in the cockpit and benefit from the wipers. Any tv camera showing a wet race gets rain on the lens. Great blasts of raindrops, momentary blind spots are all part of wet racing. Wet racing does not not merely refer to a bit of damp tarmac.

More than anything else the water droplet effect is just really cheesy to be honest. But then again, we’re talking about the series that still wears its LOOK EVERYONE I CAN DO LENSE FLARE badge with pride…

I like it and it sort of balances the game a little for cockpit vs exterior drivers.
