Hi buddies. From yesterday, i can’t change radio station anymore, and also, all my progress about discovery of roads have been deleted!! I’don’t know what the hell is happened!!! Can anyone help me?
My radio is stuck on one channel and I cant change it or see the radio its on, Ive tried everything. (its not my controller) This is what I’ve done so far…
- Restart my Xbox
- Done a full reinstall on Forza Horizon 2
- Used a different controller
- Tried around 30 different cars
- I’m out of ideas!
I HATE THE RADIO ITS ON AND ITS DRIVING MY HEAD IN + I’M A VIP AND CARPASS HOLDER + XBOX SUPPORT DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WRONG!!
PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!! I LOVE FORZA AND NOT THE MUSIC!!!
Preface: I’m not certain this possible but I’m going to throw it out there just to be sure. Have you changed the controller configuration in such a way that the ability to change the radio stations is inaccessible?
Look down at your remote - do you see this button:
?
Does it successfully remove the annoying radio sound?
In all seriousness though, this sounds like an awfully annoying issue.
I looked through the controller layouts and none make changes to the D-Pad controls so that can’t be it. Might I suggest you try a different controller and see if it works? Also, are you playing wirelessly? If yes, try using the controller in wired mode. If you are cabled, try wireless.
Are you on the Xbox Dashboard Preview Program? If you are, there was currently a controller firmware update and one of the quests asked you to do it. I did not have a USB cable on hand to get the update, but take a lot at this - it may be causing an issue. Did the update install correctly all in one go? Did it stop working after you took the update? Do you have any controller updates available - if so, install them.
Ive have just done everything you guys have suggested. nothings worked
This is odd. Might I ask what radio station you are stuck on?
What I would do is e-mail Turn10 at forzafb@microsoft.com (<- not a link).
In your e-mail, include your gamertag, your console, information regarding your game progress. Also include what you were doing before this happened and the measures you have taken to resolve it.
i got an email back from turn10
"Thank you for contacting Turn 10 Studios. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we cannot individually respond to all e-mails sent to us. If you have a question about a Xbox LIVE or Forza Motorsport Terms of Service, please see the following links:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Legal/LiveTOU
They just referred me back to you guys.
That is just the auto-response so you know they’ve received your email. Next is categorizing and prioritizing, and investigating. Those things take time.
[Mod Edit - thread merged - MM]
So, I was just romping around on Storm Island, and finished the first tier gauntlet race. It defaults the radio to the classical station, which was cool for that race. Now, unfortunately, I’m unable to change the station, no matter what car I am in. I’ve reset the game, console, messed with the settings, and NOTHING is working. So, I figured I could simply just lower the volume to zero in the menu. Nope. It’s lowest is 1.
Anyone else have this issue, or know a fix?
UPDATE:
I went through, and checked to make sure my controller was up to date, which it was. (It seemingly stopped working overnight)
I even went as far as to uninstall and reinstall the game, and still nothing has changed. So, it’s got to be linked with my save in some way.
Merging my thread with a 7 month old, unsolved thread doesn’t seem like the best way to get this issue noticed. Not to mention, if nothing was fixed from 7 months ago, I’m wondering if it will ever get any attention.
Do a FULL, hard reset of your Xbox One console:
1 - in the Dashboard, out of an game, hold the X button on the Xbox One down until the machine shuts down.
2 - unplug the external power pack from the wall electrical outlet (or at least unplug the wall-side connector from the pack itself).
3 - let all the power drain from the power pack, so the light no longer shows either white or the orange color.
4 - reconnect the power to the external power pack.
5 - restart the console by lightly pushing the X button on the front of the Xbox One.
6 - let the system power up, go through the system check and boot to the Dashboard.
7 - if there are any system updates or GAME UPDATES being downloaded, DO NOTHING until they’re completed. DO NOT start to play, even if they system says “Ready to play.” Wait for completion.
8 - sign in to Xbox Live, then try playing Horizon 2 again.
Threads are merged by moderators so similar issues are grouped, rather than everyone creating their own thread anytime they wish, and retaining the previous comments.
I understand why they are merged, but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating when an issue you’re having is seemingly swept under the rug.
I’ve done all of those things mentioned twice, before posting the first time. I literally tried everything under the sun, short of deleting my save, and nothing has worked. That’s when I finally broke down and decided to post. I found very few other topics around the internet about this very issue. All of which have gone unanswered.
You did the console reset exactly as I stated?
Alright, I’ve got another update now. I was hoping to bring back good news.
First, I can also confirm that my Roads Discovered progress has also reset. But, at least I figured out that the problem is based on the game save. I had a pal come by, and sync up his FH2 game, and it worked as intended on my console. Went back to my game, and the but is still there. So, we went back to his place, and tried his profile back on his own console, and worked as intended. Synced mine up, and still had the same issues.
In the very least, maybe this will help track down the issue. As for me, I’m saying screw it, and just going to try to delete my save game, and start fresh. (I’m assuming the awards won’t carry over, since I’ve already redeemed them from the Forza Hub?)
Sure did.
In fact, it’s the same hard-reset that Xbox support told people to do when their achievements app was getting errors, some months back. It’s the first thing I tried. The second time I tried it, I uninstalled the game first, and then hard reset, reinstalled, etc. Still no luck.
