Race Wheels (Xbox One)

Does anyone know of a good race wheel with the three-pedal/manual shift setup for the money? (Xbox one)

I looked at getting the Logitech G920 for my Xbox One, they are about $300. I ended up going with the Fanatec CSL Elite, it runs about $400 for the wheel and $200 for the 3 pedal setup. I like the Fanatec since I can change to different types of steering wheels.

The Logitech G920 is pretty good for the money. I find the brake pedal incredibly too stiff, but if you don’t mind voiding the warranty, you can easily remove the rubber block that makes it so stiff. It’s also using gears rather than a belt to drive the force feedback, so its nowhere near as strong or precise as a belt-driven system like you find on the Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheels.

Basically you get what you pay for. A really nice wheel easily creeps into the $600 to $800 range. But for $350, the G920 is a pretty solid wheel.

EDIT: Oh and almost every wheel requires a separate purchase of a shifter (including the Logitech G920) so you’ll want to factor that into the price as well. They run anywhere from $40 to $80 depending on the manufacturer.

3 Choices really

For the wheel that meets everything you want quickly and relatively cheaply, the Logitec G920 is a good wheel. If you have a concern about noise, yes noise, this will be your noisiest choice. The gear driven FFB is noisy.

For the middle of the road answer, Thrustmaster is your go to. They don’t offer shifters out of the box, but you can get one. Thrustmaster has had quality issues, can’t tell you if their new TS-XW wheel will address these issues.

Fanatec is the best quality, but most expensive. If you can go in for it, it’s a great wheel.

I love my Thrustmaster TX, I bought the shifter and pedal set to go with it. I think Fanatec is way overpriced

Not if you owned one with a set of Clubsport pedals to match. I owned a Thrustmaster wheel and upgraded to a Fanatec wheel and would buy another Fanatec wheel if something happened to mine. I love all the options it gives you in addition to the game settings for a wheel. This is my opinion though so take it for what you think it’s worth.

Yeah, those pedals look sick, are they hydraulic? They cost $300 where as mine were half that @ $150

How did you get the tx drivable in forza 6? In project cars its all perfect with a little bit of finetuning but in forza i just couldnt get it right. Especcialy shifting with the pedals on the wheel and automatic clutch ( dont have the shifter) and i like forza motorsport so much… i need to know how…

^I second that opinion

Basically what’s already been said, logitech>thrustmaster>fanatec. Logitech gets you a dual brushed motor, gear driven wheel, thrust master gets you single brushless motor, belt driven wheel and fanatec will get you similar or better but with higher torque and more on wheel settings, and the bonus of a load cell brake pedal.

The fanatec pedals are not hydraulic but they have a load cell.

I had a tx but it broke 2x in 2years. Now i have a fanatec csl elite. Very nice!!!

Reading forums i found the trustmaster is not as solid as the G920, well i bought the G920 for 200€ during black friday and even if it’s not as good as the fanatec i anyway own a solid good wheel and i don’t feel in need to purchase an expansive solution anyway soon.
