If you are a VIP in Horizon 2 and the wheel spin gives you a car you also got the car’s worth in credits. Did they do away with this?

With the skill chain I have noticed the math seems to be off: if you get a skill chain to 300k you get 3 skill points. If I am correct that is 1 skill point for every 100k but I have noticed that if you score say around 1.5 million you still only get 3 skill points. Has anyone else noticed this or is having this issue?
