Hey all, I have a question regarding the ‘Paid DLC’ for Forza Horizons, as they relate to Forza Rewards. My Rewards dashboards finally caught up and shows me as owning 3 of 5 items. This makes sense as I bought the following when the game was made available for free earlier this month:
Season Pass
VIP Membership and Cars Pack
Pre-order Car Pack
The other items I downloaded were all marked as free in the store and wouldn’t count towards Paid DLC; I assume these were free because they either came with the Season Pass or were just made available to players free:
1000 Club Expansion Pack
Rally Expansion Pack
Honda Challenge Car Pack
Season Pass: 2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept
2002 BMW M3 GTR
1998 Nissan R390
1966 Ford Country Squire
1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
1971 AMC Javelin-AMX
2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
So, what else counts towards the 5 DLC items? I believe all the remaining items in the store are the monthly car packs that came with the Season Pass, and all the individual cars that were in those packs if you wanted to buy them separately. Am I missing something, or is there no way to earn 5/5 Paid DLC for Horizon without buying DLC items you’ve already gotten through the Season Pass?
Good luck getting an answer. As an owner of the season pass, I believe you were supposed to receive 5/5 for “purchasing” the car packs for free. However, I’ve been at 1/5 purchases since I started Horizon 1 on it’s release day; and, despite just recently purchasing the season pass, I’ve been stuck at 1/5 with no hope of earning the score from it.
They don’t care about supporting Horizon 1 any more; they’ve been consistently ignoring feedback and requests for information entirely, so that they can line their pockets with the latest release, despite the negative light this will cast them in.
I’ve been critical in the past too, and there are still things I’m technically missing. That said, my rewards stats were very recently fixed. I sent an E-Mail to forzafb@microsoft.com and included my gamer tag, which games were not correctly tracking, and what categories within those games were not correctly tracking. Obviously, I never got a response so I don’t know if that fixed it or it was some sort of general update to the rewards system.
Yeah, I tried directly contacting through private PM one of the regular official posters on Horizon 3 about Horizon a couple weeks back, and no response. They’ve become a big joke in regards to their communication, and whatever idiot(s) are in charge seem to have forgotten that the players on their earlier games are primary candidates for their newer games … perhaps talking to them and treating them with a bit of respect would foster more loyalty in the newer products. This whole Horizon situation in the past month has been a complete and total disaster on the PR front.
But I hold out hope that someone in the community would have experienced this or maybe understands it a bit better than me. We’ll see
That’s crazy talk, it’s not like they just released a new game that they’d want to encourage people to buy by showing them how good their free game is. Oh wait…
I’m not a racing player by any stretch of the imagination but this to me just shows they don’t give a crap about their customers. Which is pretty funny considering it’s a Microsoft subsidiary. They know they can shovel crap racing games at you since there’s no competition.
I was in the same boat for a while but my Paid DLC Owned counter jumped from 3/5 to 5/5 (haven’t been paying close attention recently so I’m not exactly sure when that happened).
