Hi all,
I am a bit confused over how this works, when I set up a race and select PVP sometimes someone actually joins but most of the time it times out and its over.
I am curious if when I set up the event does a message show up on screen for the other players to join it like in FH3?
I am asking because I have never seen a message for me to join anything, I have checked the menu and messages are enabled.
Or is there actually very little interest in PVP and everything works as intended?
Second question:
Once I do have a successful race and want to do it over the PVP option is ghosted even though I am online still in the same session, are we only allowed one race or is there something wrong?
I only play in horizon life freeroam so I would like to find out if I am doing it right or not as hardly anyone joins my events, no events are offered to me and after one event the option is ghosted.
I find it hard to believe there is no interest since in FH3 it was always a busy part of the game with many events being set up and many ppl joining.
Cheers
There is an icon that popsup near the minimap when someone in the Horizon Life session is creating a Co-Op or PVP race.
You have to be in a “Horizon Life Session” to start a PVP race, When you create a race the game takes you out of the online session and puts the players into a dedicated server for the race event, after finishing the game may need a minute or two to reconnect to a new online session with other players.
Thanks mate for that.
I have never noticed the little i icon but I will look for it.
Shame it boots you into a different session after you find someone who actually wanted to race, the odds of meeting them again is like winning the lottery if you both go to a different place after
I wonder if people are reluctant to join an event because they know they will be put back on a different server away from the current people they may be having fun with? I might only get 1 person join out of 20 events.
FH3 had a much better set up with the pop up that told you who and what at a glance and after the race all your friends were still there willing to start their own event and keep the ball rolling, I met a lot of good people doing that for hours on end.
Anyway that clears that up for me, cheers.
