Hey guys. I had a question regarding the status of cars unlocked through skill trees and barn finds. Once cars like the 1946 Ford Super Deluxe or the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera get unlocked, is there any point along in-game progression where those cars become available for purchase in the autoshow like all the other cars? I just want to know that if I want multiple copies of one of these cars in my garage or if I accidentally remove one of them from my garage that I’m not up a creek. I know there’s the auction house, but that assumes that these cars will be available and that I also have a gold membership. Also, as future games in the franchise come out, it will become harder and harder to find these cars in the auction house and they will become more and more difficult to purchase. With that in mind, if the autoshow is not currently an option for getting these cars in the current game (and because random-chance options like the wheelspins are a not a good option when you want a specific car), I would like to propose that in a future update to Forza Horizon 3, any and all cars that are unlocked through skill trees, won in midnight battles, or discovered in barn finds are automatically and permanently included as purchasable cars in the Horizon Autoshow. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, PLEASE ad this if you haven’t already!!!
You don’t? Didn’t know that… Thats good but it still would be nice to know that there was another way to get these cars like the autoshow where you can get however many duplicates of any car whenever you want. I understand why that’s not included at the start of the game, but once a car is unlocked (either through skill trees or midnight battles or barn finds) it would be good if they also put it in the autoshow
Defeats the purpose of making them rare cars if you could do that
And then the auction house would be flooded with them…no longer rare just like the HE cars
But it’s kinda dumb and short-cited to make it this way… it isn’t much different than unicorn cars last generation… It forces scarcity onto an entertainment platform where scarcity no longer exists. What purpose is there in making them rare, what benefit does it have? It just makes it difficult to get them as far as I can tell. I just see no purpose in forcing them to be rare…
It’s a good way to have people actually play the game and not have absolutely everything handed to them on a shiny silver platter.
Because it’s usually more fun to have to earn things the hard way sometimes, and not dictate it as if they had the bank account of Mayweather or a certain oranged skinned orangutan.
The OP has already played and unlocked these cars. He wants the option to purchase another once they are unlocked. I don’t find that unreasonable, do you?
Unless I’m doing something wonky, there is no way to remove from your garage a barn find car, or a dlc car. The only way to get rid of one for any reason, (say you bought an extra to tune or bodykit etc) , is to put it in the auction house. Standard cars can be removed, but I don’t get that option for the fore mentioned cars.
