Forza Horizon 1 and Forza Motorsport 5 (and all their respective DLC packs) were removed from the Xbox Store after they were GwG offerings in the past, so there’s a good chance that this will be the case for FH2, now that it’s this month’s GwG offering.
So if you’re thinking of getting any DLC, grab it soon before it’s gone forever.

Thanks for the heads up. Already had the Storm Island DLC so I picked up all of the free stuff, and got the Car Pass since it was only $5. Not a fan of car packs so for the rest of the stuff that I don’t yet have I’ll just hope that it goes on sale before being delisted.
Good to have the alert for those that are unaware. Would be even better if Turn 10 / PG made an official announcement before it gets pulled - they have done this in the past for some games, but some delist and the announcement comes later.
From previous delistings this is something to do with licencing expiring and once the games are 4 years old they get delisted. This pattern has followed for FM4, FH1, FM5 and FH2 is next in line. Delisting has typically taken place in Sept/Oct/Nov, so it seems reasonable to assume the same period will apply.
When a game gets delisted it is still playable, the servers still work, you just can’t buy it (or any DLC) from the Xbox store. If you have previously bought content you can still redownload it from your history, you just can’t buy any of the DLC or bits you missed. In the case of FH2 F&F which was only available digitally, when that got delisted it became impossible to buy for anyone who didn’t have it. While the game gets removed from the Xbox store, if there are other places selling codes - such as season pass from a store - you can still continue to buy those and redeem the code, but those may not work 100% perfectly - FH1 season pass for instance gives access to some of the content, but not all of the season pass is still possible.
Since this is about FH2 and that is still available, take the opportunity to grab all the content you want while you can. Hopefully some of the packs will go on sale again before it gets pulled, and hopefully there is an official announcement with a date in advance of it being pulled.

So basically the tweet that said “We are aware of FH2 server issues”…is basically just waiting for September to roll around and not fix anything? What a joke.
There really isn’t a reason to delist FH2. They can patch out the music much like Rockstar did with GTA 4. Outside music for the Horizon games, what is the reasoning behind delisting at all?
Licensing for the cars in the game, most likely. The license expires five years after the game is released.
