This post on Reddit summarises something that I think is quite unclear on the Forza UI - that the Acura #6 ARX-05 Dpi reward car for “Featured Tour” is not the only limited-time reward in this current play list.
As u/d5aqoep explains, there are actually TWO cars up for grabs which are not in the autoshow:
2020 Acura #6 ARX-05 Dpi (Complete Track Tour under Featured)
2020 Audi R8 V10 (Complete Modern Tour and Open Class Tour in Builder’s cup)
I don’t think the UI is that informative to give you a clear deadline/event window like in the Horizon games, so want to spread the word. I certainly did not catch this inside the game itself, without referring to articles and videos like those in these links.
Based on the emphasis of these two tours specifically in the linked article, I can only assume that the other Tour rewards (Dodge SRT Demon, Ford GT '17, Lexus LFA, Porsche 911 GT2 '95) are NOT time-limited so can be achieved at your leisure. Perhaps @T10ManteoMax can clarify this?
So FYI folks, you have two weeks to get these cars, and if you’re suffering from the progress-save issues, I hope T10 makes these cars available again soon for those who cannot progress in time.
That’s a really good point and I have thought about the same thing. When I have to come online to check, if there is some event or FOMO thingy, instead of finding that out in game, then it is a bad GUI design. Previous Forza titles have had similar issues (Horizon is notorious for that with its unclear event descriptions).
Yeah I wasn’t forced to use a German car either (although all the AI cars were). I assume it’s supposed to be restricted to the theme much like the Horizon games but they didn’t set it right.
Thanks for your reply! Yes, I checked the message hub for any gifts when I bought and installed the game shortly after update 5 (February iirc) , and still regularly do. Unfortunately, no gifted Audi R8
