So before this gets deleted, I am blocked from posting in the Troubleshooting Discussion.
I have lost all of my progress in FH5, 1,200 hours completely gone. I went and submitted a ticket through Forza support and have been told there is no way of replacing any of my progress. None of my responses were directly answered and I have been given nothing but botted answers, along with this, forza support has no call line so there is no directly having a conversation with an employee making this even harder. Instead of giving me an actual helpful solution, my ticket was closed with telling me to go talk with xbox.
How is this even still a problem considering a million other people have experienced this. AND how is it possible that my progress cannot be returned, there’s absolutely no way that there aren’t archived previous save files that can be loaded in. Along with this, there are even ways to cheat and mod the game to get back everything I lost, so why cant forza support do it?? Do they really care that little about the people that actually want to play their game?
This was my favorite game and used to be all I would play, but now seeing all of this makes me so sour and upset, I feel as though I will never have my game back and that I have been told to “get lost” by their own support team. An admin response would be nice.

I feel for you. I had this in Horizon 4 and had to bite the bullet and start again from scratch.
I would start again except for the fact that i was literally so close to finishing the game. Stories done, almost 2,000 accolades achievements, 97% xbox achievements, ~720 collectors collection, Over 900 cars and 50 days of playtime. I could not bring myself to ever sit through that much time again.
I would be livid if this happened. Unfortunately, they can’t restore your save. You’d think they’d have some kind of back-up.
The most they’ll do is gift back all of your cars and credits.

We can do this legitimately over the auction house.
Having the money to buy the cars you need to start over might make it a little less painful

I can also give you a few credits to get you started and maybe one or two rare cars.
Just the other day a good friend was finding a couple of his cars had mysteriously vanished from his garage. A quick net search turned up some interesting results, this seems to be far from an isolated situation. A lot of the posts go back as far as two years ago, which is about how old the game is?
That these issues are still happening and there’s apparently no fix nor preventative measure has me quite nervous! If we can’t trust the game to keep track of what’s ours and an ever increasing percentage of the content is limited in release… Some of these cars simply cannot be replaced if lost.
What a terrible situation to be in, so sorry this happened to any of you! It’s events like this which destroy trust forever…
