I play on PC and XBox One. Last night I left the game running on PC and forgot. I put my son to sleep and fell asleep in the process. I started playing on XBox One this morning. It signed me out of the game on PC but did not close it apparently. I completed several of this week’s Forzathon requirements including the 7 mill one. Banked an 8mil 76 thousand skill chain. I tuned a the Land Rover FE and completed thee challenges. I could explain everything else I dd but, basically I also ranked up to Cross Country level 7 and was awarded a car plus claimed my business rewards and a tuning reward. I went into the festival and came back out and waited to see the icon in the lower right move and disappear. Something I always do to make sure it syncs
I jumped on my computer to play and clicked on the pinned icon not realizing the game was not closed. It loaded , signed me in and then synced but instead of loading the data from XBox One it looks like it saved my cpu data and replaced the cloud data with it. I say this because I closed it and opened it again and it did not load the XBox one data. I closed it and jumped on the XBox One. It loaded and performed a sync but synced the cpu data.
Please tell me there is a way to regain my over 2hrs of progress from the XBox One. This is a huge loss. Most of my playing time is limited to my son’s sleeping time and he does not like to sleep. That 8mill 76 thousand was not easy to rack up. Took a long time even though I used a skill song.
Created a support ticket and attached a screenshot of the skills being banked in my Land Rover FE. Sucks cause I lost the skills points, car perks points, tune for the Land Rover FE, tune settings I adjusted on Hoonigan Ford Escort, wheelspins which are not there, daily business payout, Forzathon progress (completed all goals for the 100 points and a daily).
I have since played on my computer. I have regained all the lost Forzathon creeds. Howevery profile should be higher as I had to redo everything. So am a couple hundred thousand credits behind. Several skill points, cross country level, influence and on and on behind. Hopefully this session sticks and is not overwritten by my console…
Lol! That’s probably a good suggestion. I have noticed my PC version goes offline very often and has difficulty finding a life session sometimes where the One version is almost always online.
The other thing is Forza needs a quit and save option on both Pc and Xbox One. The PC has an exit to desktop button but it tells you all unsaved progress will be lost. Since the game autosaves it should do so when quitting on both platforms by pressing an option to do so then getting a notice to wait while game is being saved. Boggles my mind that this is not the norm. It would probably solve a ton of profile issues for players.
I also left the game on all night, came back today and started driving around. Picked up that Senna for free from MS for playing the demo, and game crashed. Wasn’t able to get back in the game since, crashed over and over and over AND OVER at the menu before showing a menu. So I hit, “reset app” as I read I should do, and the game started from scratch. Tried syncing, stayed at 0% for 10 minutes, then took another 10 minutes to get to 100% and said, “failed, want to play offline?” it’s all I could hit so I did. Now I’ve restarted the game a few times and it kept trying to get me to do the intro races. Figuring I had to do that FIRST, I’ve done that, and it still hasn’t tried syncing again. Other than saying I own one car, and have explored zero roads. I explored ALL ROADS, AND ALL SCENES, AND DID ALL RACES, AND HAD SAVED OVER TEN MILLION. Suffice to say, I’ve submitted a ticket.
