Hey guys,
So I received my Xbox One a few days ago, got it all set up and I immediately popped in my Forza 5 LE. Amazing game btw. After playing a few races in the career mode, I wanted to play with my buddy online. Well, it wasn’t working…basically it kept dropping me from the Multiplayer lobby or when I get in the race, I would be the only one accelerating after the “3, 2, 1”…then it would drop after a few seconds. I looked up the problem and I found out about this whole NAT stuff. I looked at my Network settings from the dashboard and the NAT type was Strict, so I researched and finally got it to Open with “All services available.” Even when I test the Multiplayer Connection, everything is fine and I hold down the bumper and triggers at the same time to view the “Detailed NAT information” and it comes out to be “Your network is behind a cone NAT” (which apparently means everything is fine).
My download speed is around 20Mbps, and upload is around 8-10Mbps, and yet, I’m STILL having problems. I will get in to lobbies, wait it all out to get in a race, and I would even be able to initially start the race with everyone in the lobby…but after 5, 10, 15 seconds, I get disconnected. I tried putting it in “Energy Saving” mode and some of those other suggestions like all the Port Forwarding stuff and it I am still having this issue.
I’m able to join parties, etc. but just when I initially start the race with everyone, after some seconds go by…I get disconnected. I don’t want to do all this bs with the DMZ and such, I just want a better, simple way of fixing this problem.
I don’t mind not having multiplayer connectivity with Forza for the time being since I’m still getting used to the game and I want to learn all the tracks through career mode; but I would like to get this fixed in a timely manner. It’s a fantastic game, love the physics, cars, graphics, and everything…but this multiplayer issue is really hurting right now.
Can anyone provide any assistance to fix this problem? Edit**: I do have a direct connection going from my router to the Xbox…I would like to keep it that way. Wireless has worked for me once but I wanted a direct connectkion for better, and more consistent performance. I should have another game soon to try out if it is doing the same thing with it.
