I preordered this game on the 14th of june and was wondering how the currency billing is done. I ordered in GBP
Will they use the currency stats of the day I ordered when billing me …or will they use the currency stats of whatever later date they actually withdraw the funds?

If your question is what I think, buying the game digitally bills you the moment that you buy it. Pre order or not.

You dont get charged until about a week or so before release
But if you buy from the xbox or Microsoft store the price is set and doesnt fluctuate according to currency
I did it on the xbox and made a note of the price in my currency. It will be interesting to see if that price is close to what they will charge me. Thanks 
If you read the fine print on the Xbox site about preorders it states they will not bill you more than the price you ordered it at in your currency even if the game goes up in price.
And on Xbox and Amazon you don’t get billed until the game is shipped or available for download.

IIRC if you were in “credit” with your Microsoft account it would be debited straight away other payment methods were delayed payment until closer to release - I paid by Paypal and it hasn’t been debited yet…

I just found out there will be a physical version as well so I might cancel the digital version once I see what’s what …
There was always going to be a disc version
It was actually able to preordered before the digital
It’s pretty much identical to what you get with the digital version but you get a disc that is only playable on the xbox one…
Not usable with a pc
My last two pre-orders were different.
Off of Amazon, I wasn’t billed until the game shipped/was launched. If I didn’t have the funds at the time, my order would be cancelled.
Off of the Xbox store, I actually had the full funds (by that I mean nothing was deducted) listed in my bank account, but the cost of the item was deducted. My statement basically said I had $X in my account, but $X-$25.00 available. I think this was exactly one week, if not slightly earlier, than the item was launched.
I think it ultimately depends on who you get it from.
Just a general question,roughly when do microsoft take payment for the digital copy of forza 7 ultimate edition?
Ive never pre- ordered anything via microsoft but when i preorder anything from Game ( uk store ),and some other stores it shows as payment pending on my paypal account,no matter how far in advance i order it.so far no payment pending from microsoft.Any info from anybody?
Ive tried the online help from microsoft but there pretty poor,just keep telling me its not released until october 3rd !

I ordered from the Microsoft store, and in their confirmation mail they said (roughly translated from dutch):
If you reserved an article that can only be downloaded we will credit it 10 days before release.
So 19th of September it should be withdrawn and show on your bill.
when i pre-order from my xbox one it states that you can get charged up to 14 days before the game releases.
I ordered from the store via pc,so dont know if its slightly different from the xbox one store though.Ill check through the small print on my order details like nobody ever does.lol
i think the same applies because of microsoft but you will probably find it in the small prints for shure

I have a game preorder from the xbox store…releases on the 19th
Was charged yesterday…so 2 weeks prior to release is the usual billing date…as has happened with nearly all my digital games in the past as well
