Previous forzas were capped in 30 fps in forzavista mode to prevent high gpu load. when frame rate settings are set to auto you have the race at 60fps and the pre-race screen/forza vista at 30. it’s not avaliable here.
When its set to low/auto the game is capped at 30fps for the whole game during racing etc. any other option makes it at 60fps and 99% load + high demanding graphics.
My GPU temps are extremely high on home screen (around 89°c) gives my gpu (a 1660ti) a shorter life span. (usually it throttles around 71/77°c max)
to sum up : revert to old method from FM7, 30fps forzavista/home screen 60fps racing. when graphics are set to “auto”
Me thinks it’s a gpu issue.
You don’t say what resolution or any quality settings you run at but your 1660ti isn’t cutting edge by any means.
If the temps are that high on the home screen I’d be looking at the GPU cooling or at least the fan curve
Ok - Forza 7 had an option to cut that in half.
in most of my games have fine temps, I dont want to submit to high res homescreen and invest on fancurve or gpu cooling for one game because of a setting error or omission integrated on the game.
Im in 1080p and quality settings are locked on homescreen mode.
Solved the issue with dynamic mode : high, performance mode : Auto
that is more of a hardware issue and a game issue, in ideal conditions your build should be GPU limited, 100% gpu load should be your normal condition to prevent performance issues, or worse, stutter caused by your CPU.
Yep, modified a bit my MSI afterburner settings, applying a slight undercloak on core cloak now Im @64° max with 95% 99% usage, thanks.
althrough, easing gpu on homescreen @30 fps was a safeguard for my previous issues, to each his hardware problems right ?
