As the title says, for those of us who started with early access: what is your favorite thing so far about the new game?
Accolades menu is my new best friend, nothing even comes close!
Few come to mind, like :
Exit to Desktop - A function that isn’t broken
Rev sounds in shop
Thumbnail change of cars
Car list to see how to obtain, and awards for collections
Accolade menu
ect
But by far, with the day 1 issues, I believe the Exit to Desktop has been my favorite. Sometimes, restarting the game has fixed many things that were annoying me like the random disconnects, well until it worsens and then boom, restart and good.
The lack of 599XE’s driving around as they nerfed it…!
It’ll be replace by Jesko’s running around.

I’ve so far enjoyed unlocking all of the Barn Finds in steady succession as & when while filling in the 578 road-shadings in my trusty S998 BMW X5 M FE. Just 100 roads left to travel on and 12 of the 50 Fast Travel boards remain to be pounced upon. Unlocking the ‘Fast Travel’ feature is my main objective.
Best done in Solo mode and with ‘Head-to-head’ feature disabled. The Mexican roads have been beautifully quiet in the past 40 or so hours. I just like that there’s so much to do, but at ones own leisure/pace.

I loved Britain especially as I recognised a lot of the places, but Mexico reminds me so much of FH2/3 Ithink I’m going tohave a lot of fun here.

Apart from the technical difficulties and somewhat lackluster car list (wish there were more car we’ve never had before), I’m having a BLAST racing and drifting around mexico. The map is such a breath of fresh air, and the game looks great. Seems like there’s enough to do to keep you busy for a good while as well. Really loving the game.
If the coming car packs arn’t just recycled cars we’ve already owned and driven in FH4, and the expansions can live up to the standard the mexico map has set, this looks like it’s going to be the best horizon year yet.

I have to second all of the comments on MX. After that, the F450 has been enjoyable in cross country, The Soarer is nice to have again and the R34, Huracan and Lexus available in the autoshow.
Accolades is king for me because there is no way to miss out on rewards cause of a glitch, just go into the menu and collect. My game crashed when ANNA decided to reveal herself with her new upgrade and after I restarted the game. It still let me collect my cars and emotes.

Not really a big feature, but I’ve always loved just driving around and looking at the sights in the free roam aspects of the Horizon games. it is incredibly ridiculous for an F450 to be in a Forza game, which is why it is my favorite car to cruise around in. Give me a big ole’ lumbering truck over a hypercar any day.
I was really excited about the different modes and convertible prompts. But uhh. They kind of cheaped out on it big time. Mclaren P1 is still a dumb car to drive around in full race with the wing up. Would say the in tuning revs are cool but theyre extremely distorted and buggy when changing, The audio coming in and overlapping each layer. I’ll just say tire smoke.
I know you said one, but I have a few from one segment of the game I haven’t even played yet personally. They’ve added these nice things to online adventures from what I’ve seen on streams:
- B class road racing
- 5 tracks for road adventures at last
- Goliath is now included as well

Really the only thing I can think of is paintable brake calipers. I guess the different exhaust notes are kinda cool.
Not a whole lot in this one…
I’m enjoying the map and the new handling. But I haven’t done much, really. I opened all the Festival sites, but have mostly been filling in roads, getting boards, and doing occasional PR stunts. Oh, and spending way too much time waiting for it to process photos for the Promo car pictures. If we were listing most hated features, that might be on my list. I could shake an actual Polaroid into development faster than that bloody thing processes.

In FH4 I SPECIFICALLY requested they add the Jaguar XJR-15 as a barn find and they did in this 
even commented how random it is that it was so far from the UK. Really felt like finding a proper unicorn

The tracks are excellent. Bizarre that they’ve put such effort into them and completely destroyed the online racing side of the game at the same time.

I second that! Right now my favorite racing events are the Tour. Class based and its car type specific. So you won’t find alot of meta cars, at least not right away. Its similar to the trial, players vs AI but lots of variety and it allows me to get familiar with the new tuning system.
I completed my playlist for this pre-week and I left the Open for last. I got all the clean racing in the first race. It was a dirt lobby and I actually won that first race in a '08 M3 but my thrills were short lived. I lost the room overall to a buggy, a Exocet lol oh well.
I almost forgot, I skimmed through this page and I don’t think anyone has noticed we have the tire icons now! Off-road and drift are the ones I’ve seen in my garage. I kept staring at my screen, what does that icon mean? Yep tire icons to let us know which ones are equipped instead of having to remember. Kudos PG.
The scenic variety of the map and some tracks are excellently done.
But with unresponsive tarmac driving physics I’m just not feeling it.
