I’ve been testing various cars and tunes in the gauntlet. I took a couple of days break and came back today, and with the same car and tune as what I used previously I ran it 10 secs slower. At first I thought I just had a bad run, so I ran it again and again, still no better. I then tried a couple of other cars that I had used and everything single one was between 5 and 10 secs slower.
I was extremely baffled, couldn’t understand how I had lost so much time. Then I noticed that when you’re selecting your car, that despite what season you’re trying to play, you get the icon for snow tires. My guess is cause the game is in winter at the moment, it’s bugged and giving you winter tires despite what season you’re trying to play. It’s that all I’ve suddenly lost the ability to drive on the dirt. Can anyone else test this to see if their having the same issue?
I am pretty sure that’s what’s happening.
I was in Ranked mode and a Dirt Race came up, so naturally I wanted to select one of my cars with a dirt setup.
But all of my cars showed having snow tires, even when racing in Summer. I thought the game would be so smart as to change the tires to regular dirt tires when playing in a different season,
but I am pretty sure I was driving the car with snow tires in summer.
It flew all over the course from left to right and couldn’t get the slightest amount of grip. Seems others had the same issue as some really good offroad cars where also gliding all over the place.
I don’t believe this is a glitch if I understand your post correctly. Basically as I understand it in this game, it works the same as FH3… some cars have built-in Winter/Rally tires, you cannot change the tire material. In Winter season you will see the Winter tires icon, and in any other season you will not see that icon however the winter tires become rally tires…it’ automatic.
Most cars allow you change tire material, to rally/winter, or sport, etc. Those cars will behave the same way if you decide to equip the Winter tires, the winter icon will only appear in Winter season to remind you that the correct tires are equipped, and switching seasons those same winter tires will turn into rally tires automatically. Anyways, hopefully I am making sense here but don’t believe there is a glitch.
