In fact, this is more like a suggestion, but I’m not quite sure where to post this thread, so I can only hope here is the lucky place to get some devs attention.
This has bothered me since I was playing FH3, when I tuned a car for rally / offroad races, I usually downloaded a colorful paint job for it just to distinguish it from street tuned cars, but when I have too many cars in my garage, I can often still choose a wrong tuned one for race, that was really painful, especially when I tried online races.
But when I started playing FH4 in winter, I was so happy to see that snow tire is no longer exclusive to a specific DLC, and snow tire’s specification is totally the same as offroad tires, I thought that finally I wouldn’t choose a wrong car for races. But after switching to other seasons, I got disappointed again. The snow tire icon ONLY shows in winter.
Can dev make snow tire icon show all the time? I don’t think that people would get confused by that icon, since snow tire equals to offroad tire, it actually helps people to get exactly what they need.
And would be good idea if you could see snow tire icon also when searching new tunes, i have notice that in many hypercars peoples install dirt tires so they could get more power while stayining in s2 class so it would help everyone who download tunes to see which car has dirt tires.
Yes, this is an excellent idea. A couple weeks ago when it was the Winter season, I realized it was so much easier to figure out what car to choose for Team Adventure when I could see which ones had snow tires. It would be nice to have it notify you of rally tires in the other seasons, or at least allow you to filter for it even if it doesn’t have the symbol below the car like it does for snow tires.
Whenever you load in a new tune, you can make use of the description text to include particular things like AWD conversions or what tires are in the build.
I’ve gotten into the habit of including any big-dollar deviations that are in my builds into the description: engine swaps, drivetrain, stuff that you might not easily glean from the data normally included.
